Dr. Devon Kartchner is a wonderful large animal veterinarian and is laid back and a pleasure to work with.

He has been my horses' vet since 2019 when I first moved to the area. I have a 31 year old German riding pony mare and a 22 year old mustang/quarter horse cross gelding and they have both have received great care from Dr. Kartchner.

Whether it's their annual vaccinations and wellness exams, tooth extraction, X-rays, or labs and medications, we've done it all. He's helped my old mare particularly. She has PPID and was beginning to show the typical Cushing's symptoms of intense weight loss, shaggy coat, no topline, etc.
She was put on medication and roughly 18 months later she has not only improved, but she's thriving and basically unrecognizable. She's also had a tooth extracted by Dr. Kartchner. During this procedure I was allowed to watch closely, ask questions, and he didn't hesitate to explain everything, which I think is very important.

Lastly I'd like to mention that his pricing is extremely fair and that he never pushes or "up sells," so you know that you're getting good care and all needs met, but nothing unnecessary.

We moved to Hereford AZ about 3 years ago and I was so happy to find Dr Kartchner. He has always been readily available for a phone consult and operates at a conservative level keeping my precious Mustangs and very opinionated Mules' best interest a top priority. He is ontime with scheduled appointments, very reasonable with fees, and takes the time to listen to any concerns I have. I would highly recommend Farm and Ranch Veterinary Services.

Our boys (horses) feel safe with Dr Kartchner. We also are very comfortable with Dr Kartchner. He knows what he is doing and his confidence is felt by Baby Mac and Roni. Dr. Kartchner came for an emergency visit. I was very happy with him and assistant. If he's willing, we consider him our ranches vet. He will also be helping with our cows.

Dr. Devon Kartchner and the Vet techs that work for him are amazing!! They have helped us on things great and small ranging from rabies shots for our dog, castrations, lacerations of infections on sheep, to preg checking our cows. The team even preformed an emergency C-section on our pig where they had to rearrange several other appointments to accommodate us. Dr. Kartchner and his staff are always friendly and professional. I have been extremely impressed with their compassion especially when things don't turn out for the best. We love the convenience of having farm and ranch vet come to out home. We would highly recommend choosing Farm and Ranch Vet to family, friends, and anyone seeking exceptional veterinary service!

We are very pleased to have Dr. Kartchner as our horse vet. As a mobile vet he covers a lot of area, but has been very responsive and available when he was needed. I find he is not only very patient with our horses, but also with us. We ask tons of questions and he always takes the time to answer all of them.
