Very friendly staff that were vital to getting my health insurance. They are very knowledgeable and did my app through Colorado Connect, which would have been next to impossible to figure out on my own. Elise was great. She followed up after Lily went on maternity leave. She always called me right back when I had a question, and I had a lot of them. Great place, great people doing great things!!

We are very fortunate to have a nonprofit like FIRC who is able to help so many families in Summit County. Knowing FIRC is there for people facing hard times or able to help children have a better start to life is such a wonderful thing.

Two days before Christmas I scheduled to pick up food as the website says to do if your not able to go during normal hours. a 70 year old dieing woman was waiting to impolitely greet me with the nastiest tone possible. She must thinks its okay to talk to people as if they are bums and be nasty to them. Shes been a volunteer for 10 years. I picked up two things of different tea deciding which i wanted. She nearly yelled in a NASTY smeagel like voice from lord of the rings "YOUR ONLY ALLOWED ONE PACK OF TEA!!!" I let it slide. Four weeks previously I signed up for a seperate program which allows persons to the freezer which usually has meat and or vegetables. I opened the cooler and she said SHUT THAT!, Your not allowed anything out of that! I said is this for a seperate program? She said yes . I said im apart of that program. She said well I dont know that so your not getting anything from that freezer. (Please I remind you this area gets their food donated for people like me who need it; and its two days before Christmas) I said, Ma'am you seem very rude to me since ive walked in and I dont like it. I put my stuff down to walk to the front desk, she saw me, and nearly ran ahead of me to the front desk. At this point I had two cans of chicken. Two boxes of macaroni, and four bottles of supplements (my favorite reason to bother going here) and ONE PACK OF TEA. Lol. The small boxes not the big ones. She told the receptionist whatever I didnt hear and then I came around corner and hear her say im grabbing everything. Terrible experience. I took advantage of the option of being able to make special arrangements as the website says we are able. The girls said " we went out of our way to help you" and im wondering what did this old dieing lady tell them for these girls to assume im so ignorant I didnt realize I was given special privileges. Narrow minded persons bother me, but old ladies who will die from dementia, old age, or other natural deaths who spend their last days being extremely rude to upcoming entrepreneurs bother me more.

I TRIED TO GET HELP WITH MY MEDICAID. I WANTED TO GO IN AND GET HELP IN THEIR OFFICE BUT NO. THEY SAID I COUL USE THE PHONE IN THEIR LOBBY WHERE EVERY ONE COULD LISTEN. I EVEN SENT AN E-MAIL TO THEIR DIRECTOR AROUND CHRISTMAS 2019 AND IT IS NOW JANUARY 20TH 2020 AND NO RESPONSE. THEY LOST A GREAT PERSON WHEN ELISE N. QUIT. ALL THEY WANT IS HANDOUTS FROM OTHER COMPANIES THIS PLACE SUCKS.
