Donnie is a fascinating host. He shared the story of his introduction to growing tea plants as a boy, and his travels to China(& other countries) to learn the secrets of making artisan tea. Learning how he and his wife make green and black tea together and touring his wonderful 5.5 acre property was an experience my wife and I will never forget.

Donnie is truly a world class expert on the growing and processing of tea. The tour started off with sitting in the cool shade of his outdoor covered patio while he gave his personal history with tea here in Alabama and traveling to Asia. We then went on the golf cart to the tea fields and learned about the growing and picking of the tea. As a tea afficionado who has toured another large-scale tea plantation, I learned quite a bit from Donnie. Plus, he has free-range peacocks! Thoroughly enjoyed!!

Great experience if you are interested in the horticulture of how tea is grown and processed. Not for the casual visitor or small children. We had a group of 6 and i found it interesting but Im always interested in expanding my knowledge.
