We absolutely love it here! We picnic, walk the trails, feed the animals and always stop at the little store they have on sight for the locally made sauces, syrups and other delicious treats!! Don't forget to grab some of their freshly grown lettuces and vegetables as well!!

The farm is big! We visited during an open house on Sunday. We saw the usual farm animals and my son got to ride a horse. They have trails. The main trail goes in two directions. The left fork, of the trail, is difficult with a lot of stones and lose rock. Not for little kids or strollers. Non handicap accessible. The right fork we did not travel on. Joppa Hill is a very scenic farm with some of the staff being very friendly, others, a little stand-offish. The ones who were friendly were engaging and helpful. I wished I had more time to explore.
Update, September 24, 2018; I visited again with my daughter and we had a good time. Hayride, pony ride, Ben and Jerry's ice-cream and explored more. We took a right turn on the trails and encountered an electric fence on our walk. The trail continued into a forest. Staff are still helpful and friendly.
On the hayride we saw wild turkeys and monarch butterflies.

A fantastic little farm with lots of animals, a farm stand, hiking trails and more. See photos of the variety of animals here.

The hiking trails go from here all the way to Pulpit rock about 7 miles round trip. You can hike more if you want as that was our almost direct walk with a couple side trails. But there are even more side trails.

There is one smaller loop around the farm if you want to do the farm only. And if you wish to avoid the farm there are other entrances to pulpit rock. See that google review for more on the hiking trails.

We love this place. My 5-year-old was at summer school, and he enjoyed every minute of it.
Last week, we went to the Harvest Festival. It was so much fun! There were small business stands, a food truck, a delicious lemonade stand, and lots of activities for kids. We are so lucky to have Joppa Hill Farm in Bedford!

Lovely farm supported by volunteers and their one full time staff, Farmer Chris! Our daughter loved the animals and the little trail you can walk, into the woods and pet sheep, goats and others along the way!

We did see and interact with chickens, ducks, and goats, and they were delightful. The farm was tidy and the animals appeared happy. Walked some of the trails and those were nice, too, but we were disappointed there wasn't a greater variety of animal such as the sheep and llama/alpaca pictured on the website.

It must have been "off season" or something, because there was only one cow which we couldn't get near, a couple of horses we also couldn't pet, pigs we couldn't touch, and a barn we couldn't enter.

4 stars because it was free and it was a decent way to spend a few hours.
