OMG. If you have the chance or are just contemplating stopping, do it! First time tasting meads, and they were amazing. We loved the wines too! Honestly, the best Iowa wines we have ever had. Looking forward to returning when they have a live music event. Thanks Joel for spending time with us. And, loved to connect with a fellow Iowa Wesleyan alum.

A few weeks ago we were introduced to East Grove Mead's Bummbleberry Mead and discovered that we'd we down in their area camping over Memorial Day weekend and had to make that visit to them. So very happy that we did.
There were 5 in our group and Steph welcomed us in like we were old friends.
This historic farm was picturesque and the distillery was cozy with the small batch tanks on one side of the building and guitars at the owners desk on the other.
Steph was generous with her time and taking us through their selection of mead wines.
The first picture was taken inside the distillery and the other is what the five of us purchased and placed together when we returned to our campsites in nearby Mt. Pleasant.
East Grove Mead was worth the visit along with warm and welcoming. We will visit again the next time that we're in the area.

Had such a fun afternoon today mead tasting at the East Grove Farms! This was the perfect little local tour outing we needed this trip. Next time I’d bring a picnic and plan to stay a little longer. Our hosts were beyond hospitable and the mead was Devine! I’m taking 10 bottles back with me to Utah!

What a great hidden gem! The Meads really are the stars! Quite a nice selection for sampling! Took home a few bottles to enjoy later. Hard to pick a favorite.

Joel is very accommodating and welcoming. He was happy to let me sample almost a dozen meads and is very easy to talk to. He also took time to explain the process of making mead and was attentive to the questions I asked in order to better understand the process. Will recommend and probably be back!
