Have ordered from them a couple of times, hoping for the best, but the same thing ALWAYS happens. Food will be an hour late with no call, text, or email, then if you finally hear from them, they will say the restaurant was busy. I’ve gotten takeout from this restaurant countless times and the wait is only ever 15-20 minutes even when it’s packed, so I know for a fact it’s not their fault. Using this delivery service, the food is cold and the tea is watery. I should have read the reviews first. Don’t chance it, not worth it.

I prefer to use a local company such as Delivery Express than the corporate competition, and in the past their service has been fine. Which is why I have given them 3 stars, rather than the 1 star their latest non-delivery warrants. When I placed the order, the estimated delivery time was 45 minutes. After the elapsed 45 minutes, I received a call saying that they had no drivers available, and they had not yet contacted the restaurant (which I suppose was better than having cold food awaiting pick-up). I said that I would pick it up myself, and since they already had the order in the system they offered to place the order with the restaurant, minus the delivery charge and tip. However, when the charge came through, it included delivery and tip. I called to complain politely, they apologized and said of course the additional charges would be refunded. 2 weeks later, I am still waiting. After calling them again, I was offered a credit on my next order. Given the poor service, I'm not sure there will be a next order, so I have again asked for the charge to be refunded (as was originally promised). Apparently the accounts department will now call me in 3-4 days - why do I think this won't happen?

My student organization orders from delivery express every Sunday. We call right at 4 when deliver express opens orders, and ask for the food to be delivered at 5:30. 9/10 times the food arrives 30-60 minutes late, despite calling an hour and a half before the requested delivery time. Customer service really leaves something to be desired as well. I know it's not an issue with the restaurants themselves because every time I've ordered from one of the restaurants on my own time, they are punctual. I don't understand how a business that specializes in delivery manages to have their orders late so consistently every time, to the point where it's a running joke within the student group I am involved in.

Used to be a good service. Now when my food was about an hour late, with no notice, no updates; there were no apologies when I called. The "manager" at Amherst Delivery express had the nerve to try to blame the restaurant for the late delivery - but I had called and confirmed my order had been picked up on time. I recommend restaurants to contract with other delivery services as using this service will reflect poorly on your restaurant (and the food you're trying to deliver) - and they will blame your restaurant.

Tried Delivery Express again and only because the restaurant I like uses it. It’s been almost an hour and still no food. When I called, they say, “the restaurant is really busy. “They’ve said that same line the three times I’ve use the service. I’ll be talking with the restaurant. Hopefully they’ll be willing to use other services like DoorDash.

Second (and last) time using delivery express. Took two hours for delivery both times.

I love using Delivery Express! Much better than DoorDash or other larger companies (who take advantage of their workers), and I love that they're in multiple Western Mass cities. I've used them dozens of times with zero issues, couldn't be happier!

Gets worse every time....Ordered from Delivery Express for the last time tonight. They gave me a delivery time that came & went-showed up almost 45 minutes late. Food was cold and part of my order was missing. I asked the driver about it and was told I had to contact dispatch. I call them and they of course blame the restaurant (although their tracking process includes a confirmation that the driver has confirmed the order). They are going to have another driver deliver it. Now it's 2.5 hours after I placed my order and I still don't have the rest of my dinner. I call back and I'm told that the new driver is held up delivering his current orders-shouldn't the oldest orders be delivered first? This is not the first time Delivery Express has missed items in my order but I can tell you it is the last. GrubHub here I come......

I ordered ice cream through delivery express - 2 pints and 1quart. When they were delivered I had received only 2 pints, which both were not the flavors I ordered and no quart. I figured my order must have been mixed up with someone else, so I called to get it sorted out. I explained to the dispatch person what happened & they said they would fix it. Shortly after that, the new order was delivered. 2 correct pints but still missing the quart. I called dispatch again to get this sorted out. They were immediately defense about the call and said I was wrong (more words were used). Eventually they said they would get this sorted out, but by this time the restaurant was already closed. Dispatch said they could only give me a store credit. I said I would like it refunded to my card (in my mind I thought I would not like a store credit for a mistake I did not make with a service place I won’t be using again).
I have not seen any refund or credit.
