A rarity of grocery in the Peninsula. Great produce at reasonable prices, and a variety of packaged foods from Greece, Turkey, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Germany, Italy. A real reasure trove. Excellent selection of olive oils and Turkish delight. Why didn't I got here before? I wish we had anything like this in San Francisco.

I normally do not post or dwell on negative experiences but today one of the checkout persons really made me annoyed. Also, it isnt the first time he has done this. Normally the checkout person will ask you "would you like a bag?". This is the second time he has done this to me. Before he started my purchase, I did say "I would like a bag please". He goes through the whole purchase and then Im standing there and looking and asking "my bag please" and then he answers "20 cents". I got mad and said I did ask you before you started my purchase "could I have a bag" and he answers " I didnt hear you". This has happened 2 times on 2 separate occasions with the same checkout person. After that, I did ask to see a manager and I did go see a senior worker and he said a manager was not available. Next time, I will hunt a manager down the next time and let them know. Otherwise this is my go to store for fruit & vegetables and I love going there. Deans management, just wanted to share some feedback on a negative experience that has happened twice to one of your loyal customers! Thank you for your time!

Millbrae store smaller than San Mateo store, but filled to the brim with fresh fruits and veggies, plus international goodies, chocolates, teas, cheese, jams, etc. Good place if you are in the neighborhood, parking tight during busiest times as there are retaurants, coffee shop, other businesses flanking/near Dean's.

Farmer's market-fresh produce, plus hard-to-find and unique international foods make this market our go-to for fruit & veg! Check out their chocolates, too! Wear a jacket if you're easily chilled, it's a refrigerator. Friendly staff, great prices!
