My daughters and I went on a field trip to Crowe's Nest Farm in October. The staff were friendly, well-organized, knowledgeable, and patient. The kids ate their lunch at an outdoor enclosed pavilion, then hung around the grounds a bit until they went into the main building for an informative session about the farm, animals, etc. Next was the reptile room where the kids enjoyed looking at the different reptiles and a staff member gave some fun facts. The cow-milking process was interesting and engaging for the kiddos, and the tractor ride was a lot of fun for everyone to see the longhorns. When we returned, everyone had free reign to explore the rest of the farm with the different animals, habitats, and gardens, which was great! Overall no complaints, intimate and educational setting, cute gift shop, staff who loved their jobs, and great interactive activities; the kids loved it!

How have I not heard of this place?! My kids haven’t stopped talking about going to the farm since we left. So many animals and some really cool ones that we didn’t expect: owls, turtles, peacock, buffalo, as well as the expected: longhorn, goat, chicken, pigs, sheep, and horses. We saw a milking cow demonstration that was cool and the tractor ride is PERFECT. 5 min to the Buffalo, 5-10 min stop to observe and hear some info on them, then 5 min back. Great for short attention spans! Will be back. Memberships are available! $5 minimum fee for credit card. They also give the kids a cup of feed to give to the animals which was amazing!

Perfect size farm to visit with young kids. We stayed for about 2 hours but there were a couple things we didn’t do. You can buy some pellets to feed the goats and you can also pay for a kids horse ride. There was also a small pumpkin patch at the entrance. The kids went on a barrel ride and we all went on a hay ride. So many different animals and lots of space for them to roam. The employees were very informative and cheerful. Would love to come back again some time.

Went in on a whim on a weekend without the research and was extremely satisfied with what we saw.

Found out it's a non profit with friendly farmers and workers who take really good care of the farm animals.

We saw goats, sheep, cows, turkeys, emus, geese, reptiles, amphibians, miniature ponies, horses, and various other domestic livestock.

There's a whole bunch of live demonstrations ranging from milking cows to special animal shows. You can take Hayrides that take visitors to see bisons and ostriches.

For some extra bucks, you can ride horses!

In addition to animals, they had flower, vegetable, and herb gardens by the entrance. They also have fall festival activities/ pumpkin patches during the weekends all throughout October.

Admission is admittedly kinda high. However, they had a terrible 2020 and most of 2021 as they make most of their revenue from school field trips which didn't happen in these years. And all the funds go towards maintaining the farm!

On the plus side, children 2 and under are free.

We were only there for a little over an hour and didn't do most of the things they offer other than see the farm animals. We will certainly come back more prepared to explore and see all the offerings and get our money's worth sometime in the future!

Lastly, make sure to get the local honey from the gift store!
