Mediocre butcher shop, been buying from here for years but I avoid it and go to Market Basket nowadays... much cheaper and the cuts of meat are not far off in quality. A couple times we placed an order for prime rib and the prime rib was definitely previously frozen which I can kind of understand or Christmas, but the fact it was bad meat was inexcusable. Meat tasted old. They do have better hamburger than Market Basket for about the same price, so there's that. I'd say maybe 30% of the time staff can be rude or provide terrible customer service. They have a lot of interesting frozen products that look like they've been sitting in the freezer for 2 years which kinda grosses me out. Anything frozen that long should be marked down. And again, the steak tips I got tasted old and were of a low quality. This was their brand. You really have to know people there, pick out the right pieces of meat (sometimes they are like half brown), and in general just have experience at a butcher shop and with meat to understand how mediocre and slightly sketchy this place can be.

Usually a great trip. This time not so much. When you walked in it smelled like you were in the YMCA pool area. Being in the restaurant business I don't understand why with a store full you would use that much bleach. Quality of the steak tips are not as good as they used to be.

Crocetti's is a fantastic butchers shop. The store was not too busy, and there is a wide range of meat cuts. I had a German recipe requiring unusually thin cuts of flank steak. They were extremely accommodating and custom cut everything for a great price. They clearly put the customer first. The store interior has a used and worn look, which is a good indicator to me that these people are more occupied and concerned with their trade and keeping up with the large demand rather than wasting time on the frivolous. I definitely recommend getting your meat here.

I purchased the pre made Mac and cheese and the prepared chicken, I can't say which was worse. The Mac and cheese was incredibly bland and the chicken was dry. I am also disappointed in the reward system, I spent a lot of money to earn those points and now they are no longer honoring that, seems pretty greedy.
