This is a lovely place. We came here once for an Easter egg hunt and this time we came to a story book program about how a short was made. The teachers and volunteers knew their subjects and we all learned many things. The kids loved meeting the farm animals making candles and cornhusker dolls, seeing the gardens and seeing the well and spring house.

Perfect Fall day at the farm 🍁 My husband and I were looking for a park to walk around and randomly ended up here & it was totally worth it! I learned so much about how to run a farm/make a living back then from how to make soap to produce fabrics (fibers) from flax plant and seeds & the history of this beautiful colonial plantation. All the farm animals were a plus. Our tour guide was a walking encyclopedia and all the volunteers and employees were so nice🍂

Highly recommend this place! 🐑

My husband and I went to Ridley for a hike and came upon the Plantation unexpectedly. What a wonderful place! The volunteers, dressed in period clothes, taught us so much about what life was like on this 1700’s farm. Watching the cook make an authentic meal in the kitchen fireplace and another woman demonstrate how flax was stripped to make linen - brought it all to life. We honestly can’t say enough positive things about the enthusiastic and friendly volunteers. They went out of their way to walk my husband and I around parts of the property and share their knowledge. We are now telling all our friends - the Plantation is a must do!

Lovely place. You can take great pictures, have fun, and learn. The employees and volunteers know so much about the history of the place. You can really learn about the way people lived in the 1800's and enjoy the beauty of the place. Amazing!!

This is a great place to spend a few hours. The tour was extremely interesting for history buffs like myself. Not so much for the four year old I had with me. 😁 I really got a sense of how people lived back then. The people “working” the farm, also the guides, were very warm and friendly. Their lectures were both fun and informative.

We went to the property for the ghost stories by candlelight tour. Had a great time! Stories were not too scary. Definitely want to go back in the daylight.

One of my top 3 go tos in Delco. Prefer entering here and exploring as opposed to the waterfall where it's over populated. Quiet and good fishing if you like to do that.

Not as well maintained but someone like me prefers that over mainted and crowded
