Please Vote No On Measure J and help protect local, family-owned farms, many of which have been a part of the Sonoma landscape for over a century or more; and have provided numerous jobs for local families rooted in the Bay Area community. Plus, local food just tastes better than the globalist plan of having actual factory farms cart in food from far and wide, with quality and the environment often the victim.

As per the local, family-owned Sonoma County agricultural residents, the danger of Measure J lies here: "A CAFO is a designation by US EPA by which appropriate regulations and oversight are employed to ensure the protection of natural resources. The designation of a CAFO includes confinement for at least 45 days or more. In Sonoma County, even organic, pasture-based dairies can be designated as a CAFO in that they house their animals in the winter months to offer clean-dry bedding, housing, and food to the animals while ensuring the protection of soil and pasture health."

"The farms targeted by Measure J employ many people. As part of their employment, many of these farm workers are provided with housing. Should Measure J pass, these farm workers will not only be unemployed, but will no longer have housing for themselves and their families."

Please support our local communities and vote no on this misguided and insidious measure!

Measure J is smart. When it goes into effect, it will eliminate Factory Animal Agriculture in Sonoma County, which is good for animals, our land, air and water and all of us. Without Measure J, there is nothing to prohibit Factory Animal Facilities from expanding or new permits for other ones coming into our county. Don't believe the hype and fearmongering created by the angry No on J campaign. Thank you!

Factory farms are harming our local water sources and affect public health. Look into the 20 “farms” that will be affected by measure J and you’ll see their long history of pollution, animal mistreatment, spread of disease and terrible conditions. Yes on J to save small family farms and to put a stop to big corporations from taking over our beautiful farm to fork county!

Sonoma County is known for its small farms but over the last 10-15 years, some mega farms have sprung up and it's only going to get worse if we don't intervene! Measure J is a very reasonable cap on the number of dairy cows and chickens (Sonoma County doesn't have and pig, turkey or "beef" CAFOs) that an operation can have. Vote Yes on Measure J!

14 year Sonoma County resident here. I was astonished to learn how many chickens Mike Weber admitted to having at his farm. Yes, it is true, there are Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations here in Sonoma County.
Confining and crowding such large numbers of animals in unnatural and unhealthy conditions is a dangerous practice of animal husbandry. I will vote Yes on Measure J for the animals, public health safety, environment and the small farmers.
Don’t be fooled by corporate lies.Keep factory farming out of Sonoma County.

Please vote Yes on J to protect farm animals, the environment, small farms and public health. The 21 large Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) in Sonoma County would have three years to either reduce the number of animals on their premises, or reduce the number of days the animals are confined. Affected animals are chicken, ducks and cows. Read the text of the measure for yourself to see that it is not what the No campaign is claiming: it is not about making people give up animal products. It is not about shutting down farms - it is only about making the CAFOs conform to humane and environmental standards. Do not be fooled by the lies of the No campaign. It will not shut down your local food sources. All animals deserve our compassion, not just our cats, dogs and horses.

Animal cruelty, zoonotic diseases, and environmental pollution is rampant in industrial factory farms in Sonoma County! We have an opportunity to create a better food system starting right here in Sonoma County! Vote YES on Measure J!

I’m not with animal cruelty. Yes on J to get the 21 factory farms downsized. This does not hurt small local farms. Please read the measure. It’s very simple. Plenty of time for phase out downsize with retraining assistance for those whose jobs are effected.
