Fifth year ordering from them. They are easy to communicate with. Have substituted male birds for ladies and give you the best variety around. This year I was thinking tractor supply to save some money but still chose Clark because they go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I have referred over 15 people to them no complains at all. Although I would love to see silkies again!!! See you guys in a couple weeks and as always thanks for the extra food you gave me last year. It shows how much you guys go the extra mile.

I purchased 8 hens from Melissa in July of 2024 pickup August 10/12 weeks old pickup efficient and as scheduled.
Turned out 2 of my Buff Os were boys at 20 weeks I contacted Melissa and swapped them out for hens.
All are healthy and happy I would recommend Clark Farm to anyone in our area looking to start raising chickens.

0 star review. Stay far away from this farm! I put in an order for 8 pullets in February of 2024, which was charged right away. I waited months to hear about pickup which was scheduled in June. I emailed the owner numerous times to confirm pickup and never heard back. The day before pickup she decided to answer me and say most of my chickens were roosters and I had to wait another month….which was fine. I waited another month and emailed her everyday for a week confirmed the pickup date and sex of the chickens. Again NO response until the day before……this time they were ready. I went to pick up and I had maybe 2 breeds I requested. The icing on the cake was she charged me AGAIN THE DAY AFTER. I had a dispute going on with the bank and had to provide all emails and receipts proving she took my money. What a scam!
Never again

So I love my chickens that I purchased but I was unfortunately given a few catfishes. I had one grow into a rooster and had reached out to bring him back and was told I had to set up an appointment to drop him off which is a far drive for me. We rehomed him to someone we chose because we were told he could be rehomed if we brought him back to the farm. We grew to love him and were devastated to have to rehome him. I messaged regarding two other birds that were the wrong breed and have not been offered any recompense. One is evidently a wellsummer and was supposed to be a Rhode Island Red. I also believe what was supposed to be a barred rock is a copper maran. Again, my birds are healthy and I love them and I actually got them the date I was told they would be available. But I was disappointed I was given different breeds and a rooster that it broke my heart to rehome. The brooder starter kit was excellent just make sure to waterproof the bottom to protect your floor because my birds got a lot of water on the bottom and it damaged my hardwood floor.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Took a month for her to confirm our order in the first place. Once she did, pick up wasn't for ANOTHER month. Fine, I would wait. The day before pick up, she calls and says they lost power a few times and all the chicks died in their generator... What chick business doesn't keep a generator since light/heat is so important? She then said she would call me in the next few days. Never heard from her again. A week later I had to call and cancel my order. Now I'm fighting for a refund that I'm sure she will never give.
Please do not use this farm. She will take your money and never contact you again. I'm not sure how this business is even running still.

*UPDATE* Received a full refund about 30 minutes after writing this review

Have emailed numerous times with no response. I had to bring back a rooster and was promised a baby chick the next season. I guess that’s not happening! Won’t be getting anymore of my business!!

7 years ago, we purchased 6 chicks from these folks. The chicks were healthy, fun, and good egg layers. This year we are getting another batch including Easter eggers and Cookoo Marans for our backyard. These folks are good to work with.

Buyer beware....I Placed an order in the early spring of this year for 4 pullets. It was very unclear from the website that I would need to wait over 3 months for them. No date to pick them up when I ordered and no communication from the farm until I reached out in May and even then no actual date or explanation was given. At this time I explained that I was not allowed to have roosters and clarified that all would indeed be female. Finally at the very end of July I finally was able to pick them up. My pullets were supposed to be 9-10 weeks old but at least 2 seemed to be much younger and smaller. When I placed my order I had expected to wait no more that a few weeks as I had assumed these birds were already present at the farm. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when one of my "girls" recently started crowing at 5am! I had hoped that purchasing and (paying much more for) older pullets from a farm that raises them for a business would be able to accurately sell me pullets especially after I had reached out a clarified that I was not allowed roosters in my town.. Furthermore, I have reached out to the farm to return the rooster and so far have received no response. I have been able to give the rooster away on my own but I'm out my money and a pullet. There are sooo many other great places to get chickens from in CT. This place is just not great if you like purchase from a farm who communicates in a timely fashion and if you like to get what you pay for.

*UPDATE* I was contacted back after 3 days and they did offer to take the rooster back....no apology ....no replacement....no refund.

*UPDATE* I was eventually contacted again and offered both an apology and refund. Both of these were much appreciated.
