What a pretty Sunday Brunch Experience. You can come with family, girls brunch, graduation brunch or just because you want to brunch! I have found my new place.

This is a buffet brunch. You can expect an omelette station, crepe station, waffle station, carving station, and so many other hot items to select from. There's no way I could remember all the food options. I am excited to get dressed up and go back. The restaurant sits near a body of water and a walking trail. Great spot for pictures. This place is definitely a vibe.

I recommended either getting there when they open or make sure you make a reservation.

This is a must try!!

May 27th was a long awaited celebration (congrats to my beautiful little King Ru, I love you and Im super proud of your success <3) and our original reservation, that was confirmed online, via email & by phone suddenly didn't exist; literally at the door to a closed building, INSANE to say the least to another resturant HIGHLY recommended so we scrambled to find another fine dining nearby. Let me just say GOOGLE is your friend 🙂 3 issues: For whatever reason, the resturants phone number is not listed on Google, which is odd and we had to do another digging to get the phone number ONLY to be greeted by staff whom answered the phone politely, didn't know the resturants address/crossing street....(somehow there's a few designated to answer the phones that don't know where they are working) :/ that's the 2nd issue. Know the address, crossing streets, nearest landmark, etc. If you're answering company phone lines! GOOGLE is our friend and that's exactly what she said, "Google us". ;@/ wow, just wow, the response is the 3rd issue hence 4 stars overall. We were nearby just wanted & needed a small gudiance (cross street) to locate the seemingly hidden spot, from our direction. Once we arrived, WE were greeted warmly and seated immediately in a gorgeous spot of the restaurant. FOOD: A++ amazing, the wait wasn't too long and we had the plaintains & salsa to keep us comfortable until our food arrived. (In resturant) SERVICE: From arrival, during and the exiting made us feel special and FORGET the (NOT) "confirmed" reservation of the other resturant, I thought was confirmed (the feeling pampered of the new restaurant) I thought, WHY wasn't this our first choice? I have to add before I forget, our waiter did accommodate a meal change, I truly appreciate it. 🙂 ATMOSPHERE: (Not too busy time almost to 7pm). Did I saw, feeling pampered already? Well that says it all. I can't think of our waiters name however, he made our visit alongside the food WORTH coming back. I will also add the outside scereny is beautiful and definitely adds to the overall visit. If you haven't checked this place out, stop on by.....remember Google is your friend. Lol

I went here for a quick prom dinner. I got the fried plantain shrimp, an appetizer, and was really good! I loved it and honestly I would get it everytime I come! I also got the tres leches cake was in my opinion was too sweet and not that soft but they had warmed peach cake (i believe) and that was amazing! They were fairly busy for a Saturday evening but my friends and I were a little confused where the entrance was. The staff was nice, nothing too out of the ordinary but very accommodating when we were not sure what dessert to order

Never in my life have I left a restaurant review. Even as someone who frequently travels the US and ocassionally to other countries, never have I felt compelled to comment on even my most positive or negative experiences. But this one is personal.

I was a frequent client of the Churrascos on River Oaks, the one which sadly closed down a few months ago. Our family would frequently order take out from them as while it may be pricey, the food was high quality and the portion of the family pack of 6 would last us 2-3 days - this includes a fair amount of the chips, salad, entrees & accompanying sauces. They were also accommodating with any special requests we had, such as replacing the tub of chimichurri sauce for the plantain chips with a tub of the salsa roja, as we prefer that one. And if there was a minor mistake with the order such as forgetting an item, they would fix it no problem.

With that location closing down, I started ordering take out from here. However, both times I have been extremely disappointed with the amount of food given to us. The family pack comes with a full tin of salad and yet we are only given 4 tiny cups of dressing (pictured below) which is but a fraction of what we think is appropriate for this much food. Maybe you like a dry salad, and hey I'm not out here drenching mine either, but surely you can see the ratio here is not exactly preferable for most people.

The entrees could also use 1-2 more pieces of food for it to really feel like it's worth the price.

But the most egregious example of this stinginess is this tiny bag of plantain chips (also pictured). This is a family pack meant for 6 people which we are paying $130 for (that includes tax) and yet they have the audacity to give us a tiny bag of chips which is comparable to a common Lays bag worth of potato chips. Only after bringing this up, and still being told more chips is extra money, was I given a large bag fit for this meal. Can't say the same about being able to get extra sauce, we just had to make do with the two tiny cups we were given.

Frankly I think practices like this are insulting for the amount that we are paying. I can't imagine this restaurant going into the red if they were appropriately generous with the amount of sides they gave out.

Do note that I still give this place a high rating for its food quality as it is great, same as the location we would visit before. And we would like to support a business like it that serves high quality food. But until this location learns to respect its customers, I will continue to miss the Churrascos on River Oaks.
