California Farm Life is the hidden gem of pumpkin season.

While it’s a bit of a drive, it’s worth it… (read below for detailed review)

1) As one of the largest suppliers to Southern California of pumpkins they pumped out around 1M lbs of pumpkins this year.

2) the selection of pumpkins available for choosing is extensive and daunting (in all the good ways)… we spent 30 minutes looking for the “perfect pumpkin”.

3) we discovered blue pumpkins and purple pumpkins… the colors are incredible here

4) pumpkin fudge will change your life. I mean it. We’re big fudge people and this was life altering. They should sell it in all the stores. I’m dreaming about it still because we finished the container in 2 minutes.

5) you can smash pumpkins with a wooden hammer and then feed them to the cows. Repeat. You can smash pumpkins. And feed to cows. This was super cool and the big reason we initially made the decision to drive out (little did we know the rest was in store).

6) the people are amazing. Super friendly. Super accommodating. They let us play with their dogs for a long time. Helped our kids feed the lamb which was super cool.

7) you get to use a wheel barrow to find your pumpkins. Feels rustic in all the good ways.

8) you can ride tractors and drive them around. Super cool.

9) lots of decorations and other things to look at.

I make an effort to come here every October. Out of all the pumpkin patches in the area I find this one to be the best. What sets it apart is the vast variety of pumpkins. They even have adorable pocket pumpkins! Staff is very accommodating, including the farm dog and kiddos. I always enjoy smashing a pumpkin to feed to the cows. Each year, the decor is unique so it is fun to explore the entire property. Tarot readings, snack bar and a gift shop complete the entire experience. Great for kids, families and child free couples alike. You gotta check this place out!

Really cool rustic farm that produces over 1,000,000 pounds of pumpkins a year! One of the owners Akka is super sweet, thank you for the flowers!

Now this is a real pumpkin patch. They have more pumpkin varieties than I have ever seen. (Did you know there are blue and pink pumpkins?) They are grown on site. They have other nice services going on as well. The customer service was so nice and friendly. This will be are new yearly tradition.

Went there for pumpkins then returned for the haunted house. my girlfriend and I love to go all over San Diego for haunted houses/trails, and this one was incredible. much better than balboa or del mar scream zone. Shorter than most but youll have your adrenaline pumping and heart pounding from before you step in to long after you're done. if you have kids, be sure to go early before the sun is down as it is seriously scary at a near empty farm at night. the production was incredible and ill be urging people to go
