First time visiting Buffalo Auction in Buffalo TX, was a refreshing experience and I will be going back! Everyone was extremely nice. I gave 4 stars only because of an employee that treated a baby goat poorly in the auction house. Everyone else was very nice and respectful! I hope that baby goat was ok and the people who bought her treat her good!

We sell cattle here, seem to get fair prices, a couple times, the guys have had heifers down as steers, hmmm. We went to pick up our check, they were still selling so we decided to go sit and watch the yearlings go through the ring watching for ours. Got to noticing alot of them were coming in shaking, trembling and hollering a lot. I think they use the Hot Shots entirely too much. A lot of them were falling down and slobbering at the mouth. So we decided to go walk the catwalk to see if ours were still unsold, there were two down in the pen other yearlings tromping over them and two of them had their leg between the wrungs of the fence. I stood there and watched the guy sitting on the fence to see if he was going to make the yearlings move so the others could get up off the ground. Finally I hollered at him that there were two down being tromped on. He finally crawled down off the fence and tapped the fence where they were laying and they finally were able to get up. Bad business in my eyes. Just because they're not theirs, doesn't mean that they cannot be handled in a better way.

These folks are very fair and I always get good customer except at the unloading site. There’s usually about 20 young men hollering at each other when I pull in to unload so I can’t hear anybody holler stop. Same scenario on every trip. Other than that these folks are great.

The first time I purchased cows here. The cows I bid on I didn't receive. I figured mabe it was because they ran them through so fast. I recently took a bull calf to sell. It sold and when I got my check they said it was 300lbs. I weighed the calf before taking it to sell he weighed 495lbs. I exepted him to loose a little wieght from stress but not almost 200lbs. Also upon receiving my check they had HIM listed as a heifer. Sad to say I will not be going back. Since there staff is incompetent and cannot tell a bull from a heifer!
