I absolutely love my horse. She does have trauma, she did need some help, praise Jesus I have a horse whisperer and my black mare is so kind so loving, easy with me. I am a beginner and I am so happy with my horse. Best part is we saved her life. We love you Bowie livestock barn, thank you.

I just purchased a Dutch Harness mare and she is everything they promised. I'm so happy with the most seamless transaction with them. This mare definitely has been through a lot and was scared when she arrived. Within one day, she already has developed trust in me and is settling nicely. The transport they recommend was also top notch

Mare is coming three and registered. Called previous owner and verified it is the same horse as the registration papers. She was healthy when he sold her. So that is good and she is the horse on the video. Bowie recommended a shipper that would be at the facility in a few days and they would keep her in the barn until then. Nonetheless, I made an appointment with a vet to come to the facility before she was to ship out to verify she was healthy to ship. And without notifying me or the vet (they have worked with them before but was not their vet that signed the health certificate) the shipper “arrived early and we were so busy we didn’t call” and transported the horse. And suspiciously, the mare arrived one day later with a snotty nose and cough. I am now at $400 in vet bills and anxiously waiting to see if she gets worse while she is in quarantine. I would recommend only purchasing if you can get eyes on the horse first and quarantine immediately upon delivery.

Bought a wonderful Dutch Harness Horse mare this auction lot. She was exactly as they described. Lightly broke to harness and clean legged. She's healthy and beautiful. Bowie microchipped her and today the vet scanned her and confirmed the chip in her neck. Thanks for my horse, we love her!

It's nerve-racking and I'm not sure about their follow-through when they said they would email me tests etc etc and they definitely knew I was a newbie and took advantage of it and my love for the horse not going to the meat truck etc etc so I think they swindled that on me. But they definitely didn't give any extra love or necessarily attention especially in the office to a first-time customer

Super nice people 🙂 last week was my first time going and despite some amazing prices....I didnt bid. Ran into I assume the owner after the sale and talked for a bit about what I had planned to buy and I went home. .came back this week...walked by and he remembered me! Brought me out to where the goats were coming in and helped me pick a few to bid on. Came home with this beautiful nanny and her little buckling and couldnt be happier 🙂 I hope I can get off work to go to more sales here!

Selling a 3 week baby was uncalled for. Even if the mom was wild you should of kept the mom together. Over 500 shares. People all over are disappointed the way this was handled. Pure greed - disgusting

Being my first visit to the Bowie Horse Sale, I am extremely disappointed. I was told this is a great sale. I took the time submitted the videos of the horse I was selling in well enough time but due to lack of communication with staff the videos were not played during the sale. Reason because the numbers on the horse was changed. I was not made aware. Therefore our horse was not given the proper exhibition of what he was, how he rode, how he stood while being shod therefore in my opinion hurt the sake of him. All I got was a sorry…..
Unacceptable and I hold all staff accountable for this for failing to communicate with me as a seller and with other staff that numbers were changed.
I will not recommend this service to anyone because I will share my bad experience.
