Big Spring Spirits is a fantastic spot for a creative cocktail or your favorite liquor. The tasting room has a warm, cozy atmosphere with plenty of indoor seating, plus a spacious outdoor patio overlooking Talleyrand Park—perfect for when the weather is nice.

All of their house-distilled spirits are excellent, but my wife and I especially love the Governor’s Gin. Upon arrival, you’re welcomed with a mini beaker of one of their seasonal craft on-tap cocktails—a great touch, especially if you’re unsure what to order.

The kitchen, run by Belle City Bites, offers a rotating menu with fresh, creative options, whether you’re in the mood for a snack, something to share, or a full entrée.

If you’re in Bellefonte and looking for high-quality, locally made PA spirits, this is one of the best places to visit!

Big Springs is such a beautiful spot in Bellefonte. Their gin is some of the most fragrant I’ve ever tried, I highly recommend a simple gin & tonic if you don’t want one of their crafted cocktails (which are also great).

During the summer, they have a quaint patio in the garden right on the train tracks.

They do offer small plates, which have been delicious each time that we have got them. Highly recommend!

Came to Big Spring on a bitterly cold day before some thrifting in Bellefonte. I desperately wanted something warm, and the Hot Buttered Rum not only delivered but satisfied. It was a big drink, and kept me warm and cozy. We all just wanted to pick at some food, so we got the charcuterie and the bahn mi, which they were willing to cut into three. All of it was delicious, and we were given ample space to dish drama. Highly recommend Big Spring!

A great place for a quick dinner and some good drinks! Staff was very nice and recommended some good stuff. I had the apricot rosemary gin drink and it reminded me of Kombucha and I loved it. Food menu is small but tasty! Would recommend!

My wife and I came down from Niagara Falls, Canada for a Penn State Birthday. We stayed one street over from this Five Star Gem, and we can definitely say…. WE ARE going to come back to this beautiful town!! Big Spring Spirits is a Five(Even More) Star Experience from top to bottom!! We tried almost all of the food and drinks on the menu, and they were all amazing!! The service was second to none!! Thank you Big Spring Spirits!! We will be back!!

We did the distillery tour and lunch. What a great experience. The on-site distiller was super knowledgeable and the information was a perfect mix of science and fun... just like the spirits.

The food was great. The tuna was perfectly marinated and the Brussel sprouts were really wonderful.

Can’t say enough good things about Big Spring Spirits. The food, the drinks, the ambience, the service, everything. Their Tuesday Wednesday happy hour is a great deal.

Nomad kitchen does the food and it truly won me over. The menu changes monthly.
We tried the French picnic for two, the Mediterranean trio, the sesame noodles, the blueberry toast, and the chocolate dessert board. Loved every bite! The grassy area outside is dog friendly too!

Their flights are $7 for a tasting of any 6 of their several cocktail options. Fun and affordable way to try many different drinks!

I will definitely be back! Loved bringing friends for a relaxing and delicious evening on their patio.

Excellent drinks! Loved the atmosphere and vibe. I walked in and the waitress immediately brought over a sample of the cocktail on tap. It was delicious! So many lovely drinks to choose from and there is a lite fair menu. I had 2 apps. The pretzel was done perfectly and the salmon cake with brussel sprouts can be its own meal. Definitely will be back!
