Ordered a 2 item combo, shaved ice, and spam masubi. Combo was pretty good portion, taste, and good price. The pulled pork and chicken were really good. The ice cream and shaved ice was pretty tasty as well. I was disappointed with two things, the spam masubi and service.
Spam masubi was $6 for two pieces, they were big but mostly rice, see picture. There was a tiny slice of spam in the masubi which made me not want to buy again.
The service was not so pleasant. I asked the young lady for hot sauce and she seemed annoyed by my request and had poor attitude. I needed an extra set of utensils and napkins but after the short exchange about the hot sauce I had with her I didn't want to interact with her again. Maybe next time someone else will have better attitude towards simple customer requests.
Food, good. Service/attitude, need improvement.

We had a graduation celebration and Nani put together a custom menu for us. She gave us a huge selection of items to choose from. Everything was delicious! She is very flexible and willing to work with your needs. We ordered the Quinoa Feta Cranberry Salad with her famous sweet onion dressing, Spicy Tuna Parfaits(tuna was very fresh), Apricot Chili Chicken Brie puff pastry, Guava Chicken Sliders, Balsamic Shoyu Rib Eye Steak sliced. I highly recommend her for all your needs! She can make a variety of foods to more than meet your needs!

The food here was good and the hostess was very friendly.
As of this posting there is only "to go" orders, but there is a seating area out front.
I tried ordering over the phone, but couldn't get through for over 20 minutes....so decided to just go and order in person. Be prepared to wait in line a while (I was able to see that one member of their staff was taking phone orders back to back to back). This may be my one criticism...that they need more help....but let the record show, they are busy because it's good!
Our first visit and we weren't disappointed. We did the Loco Moco (large portions) and it was good. But the desserts! The Kona coffee chocolate chunk cookie is the bomb! And although it was a first for me...the butter baked mochi brulee was a quick favorite!
It was too much food to try the chocolate banana bread on this trip....but you can bet we'll be back for it and other items on the menu!

I really wanted to enjoy this food. Aside from getting my initial order wrong, the food was bland and unexciting. The macaroni side was a simple mayo mixed with macaroni and nothing else. The Slipsidah sandwich was drenched in an excessive amount of sauce to the point where it was nearly inedible. The apricot sauce made the guava chicken tasty, but the portions were tough and chewy thigh meat which made me want to gag at times. The noodles had a funny smell and taste. The masubi was palatable, but none of the toppings were inventive or noteworthy (for example the big island crunch was ground down furikake and flavorless). I would not return and, although I love supporting local, I can’t justify spending my hard earned money to back this establishment.

🇺🇸 USA (Hawai'i)
Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles:
Just like reaching for the most colorful candy in the checkout lane of the grocery, the LavaLava ($5.99) stood out from the top of the list like a shiny object. The filtered ice is topped with sugarcane and coconut syrups, then a nice molten flow of dark chocolate and strawberry syrup. A big scoop of vanilla ice cream rests on the top and chips of hard chocolate surround it all. It easily succeeded in making a hot weather visit get on the to do list.

Nice vibe, good food and shave ice.
Second visit had the spicy chicken sandwich with the shoyu mayo, huge and delicious. Shave ice is good, and we all enjoy the shave ice shakes.
