I have to say that I was hit with sticker shock when I was charged $205 for replacing and mounting my snowblower tires. Prior to dropping off the old tires I inquired the approximate cost and was told probably around $160. I understand BPE has to make a profit, and I’m pretty sure they made a tidy profit on the tires, I’m more incensed to be charged a labor rate of $110/hr for mounting the tires on the 8” rims. The cherry on top was the “hazardous waste” charge of $6 for tire disposal. That just seems like nickel and diming their customers. I know Connecticut requires recycling of tires as “special waste”, but we’re not talking four automobile tires here; and the cynic in me thinks…

Finally, when I arrived at BPE to pick up my tires, there was an employee at the front counter talking on the phone. He interrupted his conversation a moment to inform me that someone would be with me soon. He then went back to his conversation. Now, I’m certainly not an expert in operating a power equipment business, but it seemed clear that this was a personal conversation. After several minutes another customer arrived and the employee continued on the phone. A minute or two later a second employee came to help us. I’ve been around the block a few times and I know what good customer service looks like. This wasn’t it.

My go to place when I need work done on my snowblower or lawnmower. They always fix any problems and answer any questions I have. Work is done in a timely fashion and honestly priced. I've been a long time and loyal customer. Kudos to the staff, mechanics, and the pick up and return driver.

Service my lawn tractor annually, and it always comes back spotlessly clean, and in good working order. They even check & report unrelated issues, which is a big help avoiding additional trips for repairs in season.

Sat, Jan 18 i showed up a fee mins after they closed. They saw me looking at the closed door, probably with anxiety on my face. Needed a few snowblower sheer pins. They asked me what I needed, opened the door, let me buy the pins! The first decent storm of the year! Thanks guys!!! Dennis

I have been dealing with Bethel Power for at least seven years. I am never ever disappointed by the quality of the experience. They are kind, courteous, and very knowledgeable about their products! They explain things in very understandable ways and always make you aware of all the different alternatives And let me not forget, they have a sense of humor!!! My wife thinks I look forward to things breaking on our power equipment, so I get to visit Bethel Power. My favorite is Bob, he always asked about my son, Damian!
