Last fall my sister was having girls over before the
Ortonville Witches Day downtown.
She asked if I could stop and get cider & apples......I had driven by Ashton's and never thought of stopping.
I sure am happy I did.
Really good cider crisp and refreshing.
I also bought some
CANDY CRISP APPLES to take home.
I got to eat 2 of them. Every gal at my sister's that day were so happy that I shared my apples. Stopped by to get another bag a week later.
When are you opening
I can't wait to make this my favorite new stop driving to my sister's.
At least 2x weekly.
Don't let the small building and the cute train and stuff for kids to enjoy.
This little orchard grows some of the best apples in my opinion ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ
Can't wait for you to open for the season

My boyfriend works by here, so I decided to stop in today. They sell single caramel apples, pies, bags of pears, bags of different kinds of apples, different jams, salsas, apple butter, honey, cider, donuts, pumpkins, ect. I am very happy with the cider and donuts, they are delicious! The donuts are the perfect amount of sweet, but not too sweet, and soft. I will be back, because I need to try their apple butter next.. Also, the staff was helpful and friendly too, and I appreciate that.

One of the only cider mills I've found that still sells their own homemade unpasteurized cider, which is extra delicious. They grow and sell their own apples, pears, and peaches, but it isn't a you-pick farm. They sell jams, honey, and various homemade pastries such as apple cinnamon doughnuts (sugared or non-sugared), fruit pies, and cream puffs. They have a stationary wooden train and fire truck for the kids to play on which my kids love. There are some picnic tables in the shade and a large grassy area if you bring your own blanket for a picnic-style experience. If you haven't had enough sugar, Cooks Farm Dairy is right down the street!

Made a rare pilgrimage home for Thanksgiving, craving Ashton's cider/donuts/pies for our feast, only to be greeted with a "Closed for the Season" sign when I arrived the day before! Their website and Google business listing definitely stated they were still open. Someone should definitely update that AND encourage them to stay open until Thanksgiving (as we weren't the only unsatisfied customers turning around in the parking lot that day).
