For going to a place with cows, this place is not smelly. The cows seem to be taken well care of. The staff is around regularly cleaning and grooming the ladies. The ladies are friendly, but may nose you or lick you unexpectedly. A lovely diversion on our day. Not super close to the restaurant and dairy stands in Bantam, but close enough.

These cows are gentle giants, at about 1500 lbs, interesting, and the personnel there are, of course, highly knowledgeable. My 6 year old was a perfect age to both learn and enjoy.

Arethusa Farm is a great place to visit with small children. The farm features at least three different kinds of cows, and friendly Arethusa employees are available to answer questions during open barn days (check when the barn is open before you go).
Make sure you visit the dairy store 10 minutes away after visiting the farm!

The cows aren’t here anymore since apparently they were sold a few years ago, but the grounds is quite pretty.

I can’t speak on how good the physical farm is, I’ve heard good things though. What I can say is that their chocolate milk is absolutely bangin’. Really good stuff!!
