Out of the 5 goats and 2 sheep that we purchased, 3 came home sick and 2 died after. We also bought a calf in a past sale and brought it home sick as well. I would not recommend this auction. Please stick to local farmers instead.
*Also adding in that the way the animals were being handled during the auction was absolutely uncalled for and sad to watch.

We sold a many of cows there when I was a kid, there and Charlie Browns in baton rouge.I remember it was always kind of a big deal where we'd spend a day or two rounding up cows, getting trucks and trailers together, getting them loaded up etc.dont remember much about the auction itself but we always ate good there I remember that.anyway just nice to see it's still around.not sure about Charlie Brown.

If you call ahead these folks will have your cattle up when you get there. The boys that help you load are good at their job, and know how to handle swamp cattle.

Bring something to sit on if you have back problems because if your selling you'll be sitting on concrete.
We asked to run our heifer with her calf and they didn't do as we asked!!
It's better to see what calf they throw to determine if she's worth buying!!
She SHOULD have been bred back!

A nice spot for livestock auction and sales. They have all sort of Animals from goats and sheep to chicken, bunnies, hogs, calves and nice cows /bulls, staff is friendly so are the locals!!
