What I ordered:

Hashbrown Burrito, Carne Asada Burrito, buñuelos , Horchata and Jamaica aguas frescas.

Food Presentation and Flavor:

Food was tasty with good flavor. Everything tasted fresh. The green and chipotle salsas had good taste as well. I did not like that it was more tortilla then food in the burritos I ordered. Food was well packaged and I thought it was good that they add their stickers with their name and info on them, it shows they care about their business want to get known.

Price :

It was a little pricier than other Mexican Shops I've been to. For the price the burritos should of had more food in them.

Parking lot:

Lots of parking spaces but sometimes that parking lot gets packed due to other businesses around location.

Ambiance:

Looks clean and very cool decor. It's small but cute.

Customer service:

The guy who gave me my togo order was friendly and I felt welcomed when I entered the shop.

This place is an absolute hidden gem! Food is excellent, with very unique flavors that differentiate it from other Mexican food places. After trying every Mexican place in the area, Acapela has taken the place of my favorite. Service is great they even give you chips and salsa while you wait for your order. They always have great music playing, reggae, and hip hop jams. So far, the California burrito is my go-to, but their tacos are delicious as well, and they offer a variety of unique choices.

We came here for the first time and ordered some carne asada burritos. We were very disappointed with our order. The burritos had only a small amount of carne asada and we were left with layers and layers of tortilla. Priced at $13 per burrito we expected to actually have a decent sized burrito with enough meat inside. This is the first and last time we will ever come here.

Outstanding!!! This surf and turf salad was soooooo good. No skimping on the good stuff here - lots of Carne, shrimp, and avocado. The salsa is great....perfect amount of heat with great flavor. The space was very clean. And service was fast and friendly. I'll be back, for sure.

As Mexican American, who goes around judging taco shops across San Diego, Acapela Modern Mexican food is really good. I highly recommend it. Its a great place to eat.

When this place opened up it was staffed, and the fish tacos were really good and actually had a piece of fish in it.

Just got two tacos and there was MAYBE half a fish stick in each taco. Definitely going to Somraros right down the street if they are going to be this cheap with the food and their staff.

1 line cook and a guy at the front hustling back and forth between cooking and taking orders... Just all around not cool.

Love everything about it! From the beautiful wall art to the vibe inside the restaurant! The food is great and their fresh handmade Tortillas for the tacos are everything! Can’t believe they have delicious Pozole 🤤 will most definitely be my new to go place from now on! Staff is very friendly and attentive. Can’t forget their aguas frescas!!
