Best gas station ever! It's hard to find places that have so much upcountry. Annoying that so many mASSk-holes gave it one star. I bet they are the type of people who wear a mask when they are alone in their car.

I live in the neighborhood just above the station. It is great for emergency needs. Like, forgetting to fill up the truck in town or beer for the buddies. I have never had a bad experience there. The cashiers are very courteous. The only con is the parking lot. It can be congested and troublesome when customers are filling propane and cars are lined up the pumps at the same time.

Loved the neighborhood feel of this place. The steward of this shop seemed to have a great relationship with all of the regulars coming through. One of them even gifted him a plant from her garden. I will make sure to stop here on my next trip. Keep these small stores successful!

Always a pleasure to get gas or pick up something I probably forgot to get while grocery shopping. Family Atmosphere, we always stay and chat awhile. The bulletin board outside is always full of business cards and fliers of local people/businesses which is a help when looking for a service or upcoming event. The staff is beyond terriffic. We're glad they are in our neighborhood.

Yesterday we started out on motorcycles from Sonora intending to ride 49, up 88 to 89 to 4 and back down to Sonora again via 49. We got all the way to 89 and saw that it was closed. We froze our tails off coming back down and stopped at Amador when my bike was on fumes and I could not feel my toes or fingers. The clerk let us warm up and we bought gas and snacks. And a hot chocolate! Thank you so much for the hot chocolate. My fiance was dangerously chilled and this really helped prepare us for the long trip back to Sonora. We didn't get back until 7:30 PM to Sonora and then back home very late - 1 AM. Because of this one man's kindness we will always go back to Amador. p.s. there are avalanche conditions still right before Alpine Village. Pucker factor 11 when you ride quietly as a mouse past it.

I really think the Burnett that works here is hot and she's been very professional as well. But i often make trips here simply to see her, and i know she is married but a guy can dream....ohh yeah awesome candy and beer selection too.
