We love Hood Growers! Brian is so knowledgeable about how plants thrive in Big Bear and patient as all heck with a group of ADHD squirrel-humans. We learned a ton about everything from which native plants to plant as ground cover vs. non-native plants that will survive freezing temperatures. 10/10 buying all of my plants here ?

So happy I found this place! Brian was super friendly and helpful in steering us towards just the right trees and bushes we needed to fill some spaces and add more privacy. Prices were better as I've been shopping around. Landscaping can get expensive! We will be back here.

I was really impressed with the wealth of information the owner offered! We are novice gardeners trying to establish a perennial mountain garden with herbs, fruits, veggies, and flowers. The prices for plants and trees were great (and definitely the cheapest I have seen on the mountain). Hood's plants look happy and the owner only grows and sells perennials specifically for the area. We will definitely be back when we prep the site for our future apple and pear trees!

First time there and WOW!!!
Felt like I was in the secret gardnen!
The man working was knowledgeable and super friendly. When I said plants hate me, he directed me toward the indestructible ones! Haha.
