If you're walking or driving through this quaint little area called Big Bear Village. Stop by House of Jerky and get some Alligator Jerky! What a find! It was so good we finished the bag by the time we got back to our lodge. So one bag was not enough...lol. They of course have all types of different exotic selections. Way too many to list. You'll have to check it out to see for yourself.

Stopped in to get some jersey. Was extremely disappointed when we walked in and seen the prices. Because was so expensive asked to sample was told they can not hand out samples because of california kitchen laws. We asked how they make the jersey and was told I do not know. The girl behind the counter not helping anyone. Super disappointed and don't think we have ever walked out of a jerkey store without buying something. Do not recomend to buy from here.

It's exactly what you expect, and does not disappoint!

Variety of jerky here with neat exotic meats. Perfect snacks for the day, and to keep around.

The location itself is neat, and still worth browsing around even if you don't buy.

Highly recommend stopping by.

I absolutely love jerky, I’m not very adventurous, but I know if I need something special , this would be the place to buy something adventurous.? the customer service was phenomenal They really create an awesome vibe I enjoyed my experience. I definitely would come back.

House of Jerky is a really solid jerky brand, and it puts the grocery store options to shame any day of the week. I do want to point out that this is a chain, however, and that the jerky is made in Indiana. On the plus side, chains are successful for a reason - it truly is good jerky! On the other, I recommend checking out the local options in Big Bear as well.

I shopped at both, and I purchased jerky from both. I really enjoyed that I could get a nice variety during my stay - it's a highlight of this city that there's such a great selection! House of Jerky in particular has some wild options that are less typical (e.g. camel, alligator, snapping turtle). It's not my cup of tea, but it's objectively interesting, and perhaps a fun gift idea!

I was very happy that I am helping a local shop and buying also a locally made product, not the case here, over priced, very little Jerky made in Indiana with liquid smoke and chemical taste, and a lot of sugar, horrible taste, for 50g was 11 dollars, do not waste your money, way better options around, I do not recommend. also the Lady in the shop was not friendly at all, and almost treat me more like a nuisance that interrupted her afternoon newspaper reading and tea than a paying customer.

None of the jerky is made locally, everything is imported from the east coast. They did have unique flavors like alligator, but pricing was very expensive. Stop by Smokey's Jerky & Candy Co down the road, where they make all jerky fresh in-house
