My family and I wanted to get some canning done, so we went to Davis Ranch U pick. We love it and make a couple of trips over the season. It's perfect for all the recipes we like to do.Tou can't beat the fresh food, and the kids love to help pick it. I recommend going early to get the best picks and avoid the heat and crowd, bring yourself some water, they provide some but it goes quickly.

Nice outdoor market. Corn is pretty tasty. Got the bag of 24 and ate 3 raw ears on the way home. Tasted really great uncooked. They are still good cooked but kind of little ears. The workers were nice and its a cute little community place to go and support.

I really appreciate fresh produce. One should be able to get food at a reasonable price at produce stands. The prices here are getting outlandish. There are no middlemen, such as shippers and handlers beyond regular farm folk. That's where the discounts are.

Davis Ranch is a Sacramento gem. Fresh fruits and vegetables of every sort. The variety of locally produced goods. Part of how Sacramento is able to claim being the farm-to-fork capital of the world.

For a late spring day, selection was surprisingly sparse. I found some cherries that looked fabulous. They were okay but not fabulous.

I'm looking forward to my next visit which hopefully will be closer to how spectacular Davis Ranch usually is.

We love this place for the friendly folks and great deals on healthy, farm fresh produce. The market serves those who aren't interested in harvesting their own and the prices are a bit higher, yet fair
But for .30 per pound, you can stock up on green bean, tomatoes, acorn squash, melons, peppers (green, red and chili,) eggplant and a host of other delicious non-GMO products. You can also pick strawberries when they are in season. And the staff is always helpful! During the later fall months they have tractor rides and a pumpkin patch for the kids. Do yourself a favor and bring you family and friends!

We LOVE going to Davis Ranch U-pick! The kids always have fun picking up their own veggies and then helping me cooking them. We love the U-pick strawberries too and the farmer market.

This place is great. The sort of wholesome farm experience that is also economical and a nice little drive out of the city. We grow a lot of our own food, but we're excited to take part in the U-pick program. It's 40 cents a pound with a 100 pound minimum. Really great if you want to make some jars of sauce or pickles or want to give all the kids on your block a pumpkin for Halloween. The folks working there are nice and the fruit pies are delicious.
