Outpost Wines is a hike up the mountain so would recommend for anyone coming, try to plan a few different wineries on the hill, otherwise your drive time will be high.

Excellent scenery — we did a tour of the property which was amazing (beats Chappellet). Our host was outstanding.

Wines were good paired with the amazing view. This was our first time — definitely added to our list of return places.

This winery was highly recommended to us and did not disappoint! Marisol was super friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to educate us about the region and the winery’s awesome selection. We loved it so much we already booked another visit/tasting. We can’t recommend it enough. The region’s best kept secret!

We recently visited Outpost Wines, atop Howell Mountain. Sara does a tremendous job hosting guests, discussing the winery, and tasting through their delicious lineup! The mountain views are stunning, the wines impressive, and the experience is first class. I cannot recommend Outpost highly enough!

Sometimes you just need to get off the beaten path of life to discover some of the finer things; this is such the case with Outpost. My wife had been doing some research on various wineries and Outpost was one that kept surfacing in group discussions. We made the trip up the mountain and we are so glad we did. We were pleasantly met in the parking lot by Sara and we given a tour of the winery with a wonderful glass of Chard. Following our tour of the vistas, Sara went to work pouring us wonderful glasses of wine, explaining the origin and any back story that accompanied the wine. Sara was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions in detail. Our experience was brilliant and we can't wait to return with our other friends and show them another hidden gem. Thank you Outpost Wines!

We had such a fabulous experience here. Beautiful, bold reds with an intimate tasting experience. Highly recommend spending time up in Howell Mountain and making a stop at Outpost! Make sure to reserve in advance.
