I go here twice a week. The produce is incredible in terms of quality and selection. I usually buy a vegan bran muffin for breakfast and the vegan tacos for lunch. Can't say enough good things about Berkeley Bowl. It's near Ashby BART and Tarea Hall Pittman Library

A great supermarket with an amazing variety and selection of everything! Take banana for example, they carry more than 10 kinds of bananas. They also have some mushrooms that I, as a mushroom lover, never knew before!

Sushi there was tasty too! Believe it or not, way better than some sushi buffet or warehouse sushi.

This is the best grocery store in the area. I travel 30 minutes to shop here. Well worth it. Some of the freshest & hugest selection of fruits & vegetables to be found under one roof. The butcher shop in the back of the store is newly remodeled. They butchers are very friendly & helpful with suggestions.

Absolutely one of the best grocery stores of all times. The organic section and the conventional section both come with more options than you can imagine. The store is highly organized. Some things are a little pricey, like all grocery stores, but on the average, it seemed to be pretty reasonable upon checkout. Friendly staff customers seemed happy the quality of the meats. The store was super clean. Wow completely wonderful healthy delicious. Wish more cities had Berkeley bowl. ❣️

Best grocery store!
So much variety and lots of healthy options. They have a huge produce area with ingredients for many cuisines. I always find fresh and ripe produce. Their mushroom selection is especially good.
Their bakery section has a lot of good treats. My coworker often brought in small cakes and other items and they were always delicious.
The candies in bulk and in the plastic tubs are also delicious. I personally loved the dark chocolate caramel balls, but they’re all good and not too sweet.
It’s also a great spot to get Asian specialty groceries. I used to go up to 99 Ranch but Berkeley Bowl actually has most of what I need.
It has a co-op atmosphere and the staff were always friendly.

One of the best grocery stores. They have organic and conventional produce selections that are unmatched. The bulk section is fantastic, dried legumes, grains, pasta, seasonings, candy, nuts, and more... Also they have great ready made food as well as made to order burritos/bowls. They also have about 4 kombuchas on tap.
