Popcorn is my second favorite snack (only behind pretzels) and I was not aware of this business at all but thanks to a Yelp event I am now.
Walking in, we were greeted warmly and took everything in. The shop has an attractive retail section with the production space open to view in the back.
We ended up purchasing a Moo-Vee butter 20 scoop bag (that I'm eating while I write this) and a small bag of Kettle corn.
I found the Moo-Vee butter nice and evenly flavored but a bit dry, perhaps over cooked. This may be a reflection of the cooking style What's Poppin employees but it wasn't to my liking.
Moving on to the Kettle Corn, I can say I've eaten more than my fair share between store bought and kettle cooked popcorn at fairs and craft shows. Regrettably this was by fair the worst I've had. Again, over cooked and dry with little to no sugar flavor. I'd be hard pressed in a blind taste test to identify this as Kettle Corn.
I will give What's Poppin another try and sample the Caramel and Cheddar next time and update my review at that time.

Great selection of candied popcorn, been searching for candied popcorn for years and this is the first place in NY I ever found. Taste great and excellent service. Easy to find with plenty of parking as it is located in a strip mall. Great handicap access. It is very expensive but well worth it for a special treat

When I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I had to give up my favorite snacks. Apparently what I should be eating now is roasted chickpeas, beef sticks, and popcorn. I don't know if the capital region has a gourmet chickpea roaster or beef stick-er, but it does have a gourmet popcorn place, and the 20 cup butter from What's Poppin is my absolutely favorite snack. I can polish the whole bag off in a week, half the time if my wife helps. I have eaten a LOT of popcorn, and this is the top of the list!

Pop corn is good but the owner thinks parking in fire lane across from the handicapped is acceptable. Sales person offered to mail our order free of charge as they were having mechanical issues. Great service by the sales person.

Hands down the best popcorn you will ever eat. Every flavor is fresh and delicious, and the big bags stay fresh for weeks! Also makes for a great gift if you can manage to part with it once you have it in your possession.

My fiance wanted to stop in here for a Christmas present, and as much as I like popcorn, I'm not like crazy about it. However, the dill pickle sample bag caught my eye...

WOW! This should be the next big thing in popcorn!! I feel like people get weirded out by the idea of pickles, but this is like salted popcorn without butter, but with dill instead. It kind of blows me away, and I can't remember but I sincerely hope it's a mainstay flavor. I'd buy a 50 scoop bag of this!

They have many different flavors to try, I got butter and cheddar. Both were okay but were a little stale. The butter could use more butter. The the popcorn is in small servings and expensive.

My fiance loves popcorn so as we were out about and discovered this gem. They have a great assortment of favors. We will definitely visit more. Very yummy popcorn.
