Really Cool Place to Go, a very quiet but great place to go if you can get to it! I walked in and the place was old and cozy! The staff was very nice and the history you learn is so much about Venice you never heard of it! Seeing the photos of Venice Island being built is just crazy to me because a lot of the information isn’t even online. Definitely a spot you definitely need to go to if you are a local or someone visiting; it’s worth it!

It took nearly five years to get there, but worth the wait and will go again! We spent nearly 90 minutes oohing and ahhing and learning from all the history, pictures, and videos. The docents were friendly, knowledgeable and fun, too. Whether you are here seasonally or year-round, get to the Venice Museum! Plenty of easy parking; a lovely park, the Venice Arts Center and restaurant and the Community Center are all right there. ENJOY!

Nice small museum that has a large exhibit on Venice Doctor Albee and his bone grafting discovery, a good paleontology exhibit and the newest room featuring the history of the early Floridaland tourist attraction from 1964 and closing in 1971 after Disneyland opened.

Very small museum worth an hour. You can tour with a museum volunteer offering explanations.

This was really cool! I had no idea how important Dr Albee was! And how innovative the city of Venice was in its planning and architecture! I also got to see the bones of the things that have been found here. I got a lot of literature from the staff so I can study the area further. They were all very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! Thank you so much!

Small museum but each room is full of history items of Venice. They also have interactive areas, it was nice to see the video interviews. Got greeted by a volunteer that explained it was a self-guided tour and some of the history of the museum itself! If you have some time would recommend to stop by!
