321.460. Spilling Loads on Highways.

A vehicle shall not be driven or moved on any highway by any person unless such vehicle is so constructed or loaded or the load securely covered as to prevent any of its load from dropping, sifting, leaking, or otherwise escaping or its load covering from dropping from the vehicle, except that sand may be dropped for the purpose of securing traction, or water or other substance may be sprinkled on a roadway in cleaning or maintaining such roadway. The provisions of this section shall not apply to vehicles loaded with hay or stover or the products listed in section 321.466, subsections 5 and 6.

Beware of their rock dump trucks.

This is not a review of the companies work but more of a warning for everyone on the roadways with these trucks.

Had one pull out in front of me on the highway and before I could slow down to make some distance a rock came flying out and cracked my windshield. After calling the company they said that’s why they have the warning signs on back of the dump trucks and they are not liable for damages. The driver could’ve been less careless and avoided ruining an expensive part of my vehicle that didn’t need to be. Now I eat the cost of a windshield.

Tell your teenage driver, in a company pickup, to learn how to drive and realize that traffic doesn't part just for him when he is merging onto 80/35 and nearly push me into a cement truck.
