Super fun. Great atmosphere and owners are very personable and kind. The hard ciders were great and the apple picking was fun. We brought our 4 year old here and he was obsessed with picking the apples. All in all… it was a great time and will come back. We came during the day, but it seems like they are set up for a lot of fun once night hits.

I had a great time at Sierra Cider! I booked a tour through AirBnB for 4 and we all had an amazing time. David did a great job explaining about the different types of apples he and his wife grow. He taught us about a number of things I never knew about apples and threw in some info about the history of apples in America. The end of the tour included a flight of four ciders. I thought they were all amazing, and I was impressed by the crazy ingredients he used to make some of them. I'll leave it up to you to visit to find out what he has to offer.

Our visit to Sierra Cider for a private cidery tour and tasting was nothing short of spectacular. While we thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it’s worth noting that the price seemed a bit high for some in our group. However, if you have an interest in horticulture or a deep appreciation for the nuances of apple genetics, the tour is an enriching experience that justifies the cost. For those who might have visited other orchards before or are primarily interested in the tasting experience, we would recommend going straight for the drink and tasting option. It offers excellent value and allows you to fully enjoy the exceptional ciders without the added expense of the tour.

One thing we found ourselves wishing for was the availability of cuttings for purchase. It would have been wonderful to take a piece of the orchard home and attempt to grow some of these unique apple varieties ourselves. Despite this minor wish, the experience was overwhelmingly positive.

Now, onto the ciders themselves. I ended up buying the Early Harvest cider, which was a revelation. It tasted just like apple juice, but with an elevated complexity that made it perfect for a warm summer day. Each sip was refreshing and delightful, capturing the essence of freshly picked apples. However, my absolute favorite was the cider with notes of cherry. It had a depth and richness that was both surprising and satisfying, making it a standout among the offerings.

David was so informative and hospitable when giving us a tour of the orchard and cider trading experience! The ciders were easily amongst some of the best and most inventive we have ever had. I Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun experience while in or near Oakhurst.

Cute place! Frequent art vendors. They have a apple themed panini stand, and typically have Yosemite Pizza food truck. (Yosemite pizza said with an advanced notice, he can have gluten free if needed)
They have a few apples picked, but otherwise you have the fun of finding your perfect apple!

This place is a gem. We went during a Yosemite vacation on a day when our legs needed some rest. It was a fantastic respite. The new owners are a wonderful young couple that showed us every courtesy. The orchard is beautiful and peaceful; a great place for all ages. We liked every cider we tried more than the last. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely local cidery with top of the shelf coders. Wonderful place to spend an afternoon and they have a great fall set up with pumpkins, Halloween decor, and hayrides though the orchard for the kiddos.
