Went here with friends while in town for the weekend and we had a blast! We enjoyed looking at all the local farmers produce, plants, foods and sundries sold in the market. It is basically located in Downtown Ventura along Main Street, where the Mission Saint Buenaventura church is located. They even have concessions of foods for people to eat at the parking lot next to the Mission church.
The energy is great and with all the vibrant things surrounding the area and musicians playing their music, the place is such a vibe.
There were lots of local people shopping as well as families with kids or fur babies in tow. This street is a row of little cute boutiques and thrift shops as well as great restaurants that we ended up eating at when we got hungry!

Great place and will definitely come back here again!

I had a very disappointing experience with one of the egg vendors at the Ventura Farmer’s Market, it was an elderly gentlemen with cloudy eyes located near the fountain. When I asked about the price of a dozen eggs, I was told he only had jumbo eggs left at $15 per dozen. I then asked how much his regular eggs usually cost, as I live locally and might return another week. Instead of a simple answer, I was met with an unprofessional attitude—he went on a rant about disliking “price comparison shoppers.” He insisted his eggs were the best without offering any real information to back it up.

A good vendor should be transparent about their product, but he didn’t share anything about his farming practices—no details about what he feeds his chickens, how they’re raised, or the quality of their environment. Instead, he expected me to just trust him. That’s not how it works. If I don't know anything about the quality of your eggs, all I have to go is price. I know what truly great pasture-raised eggs taste like—my grandmother raised chickens—so I trust my own judgment, not empty claims. I won’t be supporting this vendor and suggest others find sellers who respect their customers.

Love this market. I always find great produce. I’m especially happy there is also fresh Italian cheese now. We are really enjoying Caprese salads with heirloom tomatoes!!! Lunch options in the food court are good. Most go for crepes or tomales.

The Ventura Farmers Market offers a plethora of vibrant produce and more! Located in front of the Beautiful San Buenaventura Mission, locals stroll with baskets in hand for their freshly picked veggie feasts, handmade cheeses, meats & other yummy things to eat.
A highlight of Ventura Farmers Market was the concessions and hot foods tucked in the Mission parking lot. Here you will find my favorite stand "Keto Sweets LA" (granola & carrot cake is a must!) Also, a ceviche guy, a hummus guy and a barista among other food vendors. If you are famished, you can sit and enjoy some yummy Mexican food & be serenaded by some live music!
What a lovely morning you will have soaking up the sun & salty wind in your hair. 🌞🏖🌊💒

Best market in Ventura (Sat 8-12pm). Great prices too and lots of organic options. The produce variety always impresses my family from out of state. I suggest you walk around all three aisles to see what's available before purchasing.
