We just got back from an unforgettable stay at Jubilee Railroad Wilderness Lodge and are already dreaming about our next visit. This place is a hidden gem with a seriously cool twist, refreshed vintage cabooses that make for a one-of-a-kind getaway. We stayed in Caboose 25, which had a super comfy king bed, a surprisingly spacious bathroom, great AC (a must!), and the cutest little upstairs cupola where we sipped our morning coffee while taking in the peaceful surroundings. The whole property is beautifully spaced out, giving you plenty of room to breathe and enjoy the wilderness without feeling crowded.

And let’s talk about the dining car…wow! We wandered over thinking we’d grab a quick drink and were totally blown away. What we found was a warm, beautifully designed lounge and restaurant with a vibe that made us want to linger. Despite rolling in at 8:40 pm (they close at 9), the staff welcomed us in like old friends and assured us there was plenty of time. The cocktails were top-tier, the apple cobbler was divine, and every single staff member we encountered, from check-in to check-out, was friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. While we didn’t get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, knowing they were there just added to the resort-like feel. Jubilee Railroad is such a unique and magical place, we’d come back in a heartbeat and are already recommending it to everyone we know!

We had the most wonderful stay at the campground! The sites are spacious and nestled in the woods near a stream. We had two delicious meals at the dining car and craft cocktails as well. Everyone from the camp host to the servers to the gift shop person were warm, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely be back!

We have been going here for over 30 years. The new ownership is extending this wonderful experience even higher. The grounds are relaxing with nice accommodations with beautiful views of Castle Crags. Great for kids and dogs too! They also gave a Dining Car! Check out their web site!

Quaint and beautiful lodge/campground/restaurant, we ate in the dining car and camped. The food was healthy, fresh and yummy (I had salmon with roast veggies), service was great. Live music inside. Next time I will make a reservation, they only had outdoor seating.

I loved staying at the Railroad Park Resort! It was fun to walk around the well-maintained property looking at the different railroad cars. The staff we interacted with were all friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the cabooses, and it was very clean and comfortable. There was a lot of work being done on the property to get it ready for the upcoming season, including improvements to the dining car. I'd like to stay at the Railroad Park Resort again and have a chance to eat in the dining car!

So fun! We loved staying here with our elderly bulldog. Definitely recommend caboose 1 with the king bed and a little crow’s nest seating spot. The water in the sink heated up fast and the fridge and microwave were great. Also loved that they had Roku TV for night time relaxing since not a lot going on after 8 during the week in this area. This place is definitely worth it!!

Overall, an excellent experience, much like it has been each time I have stayed. I will certainly come back again and again). Let me start out with the positive here:||||(1) The service people were outstanding (especially Riley and the folks in the Camp Stores; ||||(2) The sights of the mountains around us and the sounds of the river/creek running alongside the resort were mind, hear and soul-feeding; ||||(3) Your combining BOTH a Lodge AND an RV Campground at a single location is a great/wonderful idea for folks who want to get together at a single site ... but have different ideas and preferences about accommodations (Room/RV Site); ||||(4) The cost/price was pretty reasonable (compared to most mid-level Lodges and Hotels/Motels||||(5) In the past, I have also really enjoyed both the on-site Hot-Tub/Pool and Restaurant. |||| In THIS instance (i.e., on this particular visit_ ... my only "negative comments" had to do with a situation that doesn't really reflect upon the Lodge or Staff: ||||(1) The Hot-Tub/Pool was temporarily closed down for renovation ... which was a disappointment ... but this was due to the new management's decision to initiate upgrades and renovations of these on-site facilities and amenities (a future +); ||||(2) The restaurant was also closed down for renovation ... for the same reasons, and with the same general impact and effect (i.e., one-time disappointment with an overall or long-term excitement about these future improvements to the site.|||| I will definitely return and enjoy the new-and-improved facilities & amenities!!!||||Dr. James Alan (Jim) Temple||[email protected]

Only a review on the restaurant: (we are locals and did not stay) We accidentally landed there on opening night of the restaurant, as we were in Dunsmuir for our kids schools art show. We were so pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was, and how much the place has stepped up its game! Will definitely be going back! Yummy, organic and delicious! The new ownership knows what’s up!
