This was honestly one of the best experiences with a local business I've had. We signed up for beekeeping class as a family prior to delivery of package bees, which we ordered through Honey Hive Farms. We figured, if we're going to welcome a family of bees into our yard, the whole human family should be educated and involved.

Connie is hilarious, engaging, and quite entertaining as an instructor. She has a Master's degree in the field, and many, many years of experience. She comes from a family of beekeepers. Her dad keeps bees, her mom breeds queens...it's a whole thing. The introductory class covered tons of stuff, including environment, equipment, genetics, health and husbandry.

After the classroom portion of the morning, we suited up and went out to her personal bee yard, where she had roughly 8 hives and at least two different species of bees. Experiencing first-hand what it's like to crack open a hive, pull frames and inspect for overall health, identify signals of future hive behavior, find the queen, see the difference between brood and drone cells and capped honey and pollen stores....you're just not gonna get that from YouTube.

What an experience! Probably the most educational and fun thing we've done as a family in years, and I can't recommend Honey Hive Farms enough.

I just want to say how pleased I am to have discovered Honey Hive Farms. Their website was easy to navigate and place my order. Tim was a pleasure to deal with. He was very accommodating when it was time to pick up my bees. It was a joy to see how many packages of bees he was delivering. I was thoroughly impressed with his love and dedication to keeping the bees comfortable. My bees were happy and there were very few dead ones. The queens were healthy and active. The bees went right to work and are very gentle. I would certainly do business with him again and would recommend him to my fellow beekeepers. Five stars for sure. First package bees and the process was smooth, well communicated and quick. I don't think there were more than a handful of dead bees on delivery, if any at all. I got Italians and they are extremely calm and docile bees. Haven't used a suit with then and probably won't need to. Just check on day 5 to release the queen but they had already chewed through the cork to get her out. She is gorgeous and healthy. Absolutely would do business again and recommend them.

I recently visited Arizona and was on a quest to find local honey to take home for my tea. I purchased various flavors from a handful of companies and I am really enjoying the Honey Hive Farms flavors! Orange Blossom is my all time favorite, but I did splurge a bit and ordered some of each kind they sell. All very good and I will be ordering from them again. Thank you for such a yummy souvenir from Arizona!

Bees arrived very healthy in a timely manner. Tim was willing to work with me on delivery/pickup. The colony had almost no dead bees upon delivery and are now happy in their new home.

Tim is so knowledgeable and is sooooo sweet! He has a variety of honeys and things to choose from and he gives great conversations! I will definitely be back for him and I need this boost of energy and he will brighten your day!

I had a wonderful first beekeeping class at Honey Hive Farms! It was seriously so much fun and I left with even more love for bees than I started the class with. While I don't plan on bee-coming a beekeeper, it was great to learn more about how honey is made and the importance of the bees!
