There really is a place called the north pole and it’s in Alaska. Like 30 minutes away from Fairbanks you can find your way at the Santa Claus house, a 365 day a year gift shop/Santa house where you can send letters to Santa at North Pole or even buy a piece of a deed of the north pole, you can’t miss it because the town has poles dressed in Candy Cane poles definitely worth a trip if you’re out here great place to see the northern lights

I was working in Fairbanks which is only about 20 minutes from the city of North Pole so I decided to make the trip in the afternoon. Much to my surprise, it was 39 degrees during my visit to the North Pole. Regardless of the weather, I was excited to go. Upon arriving at the main entrance to the Santa Claus House, I found the whole place very charming from the outside and took lots of pictures. I walked through the retail side of the house and was impressed with all the cool swag they had there. I ended up getting some hot chocolate, buying a sweatshirt for myself, an official elf bell Christmas ornament for our family tree, a couple of cool wooden post cards and having a special letter sent to my son, which was petty special to do. Then I went back outside to visit the reindeer, the giant statue of Santa and the huge North Pole in the front area. All in all, I was very happy to get a chance to visit the Santa Claus House because it truly is a once in a lifetime trip for me. I also found it fascinating to drive around the city and check out other cool places to visit. I hope you like all the photos I took.

The only thing missing was Santa.

We spent hours at the Santa Claus house! There was so much to see and so many unique items to find. One of our favorite things was writing a few postcards to send to our family in different parts of the state. There's a cute stamp you can use that lets them know it was sent from the North Pole.

From magnets to ornaments and home goods, there's something for everyone here. My husband and I had a blast picking out little gifts for our family members. Like every tourist spot, there were items that were overpriced, but we were able to find a few treasures.

The service wasn't great, unfortunately. No one greeted us the whole time we were walking around and when we went to check out, the young lady at the cash register seemed bothered that we were there. I actually purchased a few official Santa letters and requested they be sent right away...we never received them. I was asked to fill out a form and have no idea what happened to it once I gave it back to the cashier. What a bummer! My nieces would've loved it.

Can't have it all, I guess...

I was a little sad Santa and Mrs. Claus weren't there when we stopped in. It would've been fun to snag a few photos.

The reindeer were cute to see and happily munching away. We were lucky enough to visit on a snowy day; plus, everything in town is Christmas-themed. Even the street lights are shaped like candy canes and it added to the magic.

We enjoyed ourselves overall. Definitely worth adding it to your list if you're in the area.

Santa Clause house today gets 4 outta 5. Loved meeting santa and seeing the reindeer. Besides that not much to do. Giant gift shop kind of feel. Slightly over priced items. I would have loved to seen more things for kids to do. Maybe a center for writing letters to santa? Tables/chairs and activities (art projects etc) for kiddos. Passing out hot chocolate to kids would have added to it as well. Overally it was a good experience but we did not spend as long as I thought we would there because it was honestly mostly just shopping.

This is a really neat and unique attraction that can only be found in a place like Alaska. The Santa Claus House is mainly a gift shop that sells Christmas-themed products like ornaments, home decor, and toys.

On weekends, they even have Santa Claus himself available to take photos. Additionally, there is a reindeer enclosure with Santa's reminder. You don't need a ticket to see the reindeer, only to take the tour.

It's free to visit and they have plenty of parking out front. Also, they've got a huge Christmas tree and Santa statue outside. Highly recommend and must visit if you're in the Fairbanks area!

I love this place. All things Christmas and Santa is there!!! Brings your kids and have a blast. They have a sweets store inside that has the best truffles. There fudge is amazing.
