I purchased Smarty Cat from Rufus Hayes Ranch. She is smart and has such a wonderful handle on her at 4 years of age. She had her first competition in cattle sorting on 03/20/21 and placed in the top 20 teams out of 86 teams. She has a great future!

Great people, fun place. But $60 for a one hour GROUP lesson where you just ride along and don’t get one on one teaching? Almost every single equestrian business for lessons does group lessons for a lot less than $60... $25-$35 is adequate and a good price. Only private lessons with lots of learning, should anyone pay $60 for one hour, and one on one teaching. Good place to do something fun every now and then, but this place is horribly overpriced. I’m shocked people buy into the high prices.

Prior to finding this place, I had only ridden trail horses that would simply go where they always go and not much else. Here....you get to experience actually taking the horse somewhere and the horse's own personality. We had a blast, starting with an introductory ride in a corral which was followed by a very nice, long ride through pastures and forest woods. Jill was awesome and patient with all of us. Great with the kids. Once we were finished she allowed us to hang around and help get the saddles off and wash off the horses.

Jill does great to provide an overall amazing experience. We took my 1 year old and 4 year old to trail ride and they loved it. Recommended to anyone on the fence about it!

I've been going to the Hayes Ranch for 16 years. It is a working ranch. Everyone who lives there is knowledgeable and friendly. They do anything from training horses and summer camps to barrel races and boarding. Excellent place!

These people treated me and my husband like family they we're wonderful and the livestock and pets were in great shape I had the best time of my life and I will hopefully be going back this is a great place
