Small spot easy to miss. But the tacos were delicious and agua fresca was bomb. My pics don't do them justice. Handmade tortillas. I got quesadilla con chorizo and bistek with salsa roja.

Nestled near Dodger Stadium in Echo Park, Guisados offers a decent taco experience, particularly notable for the homemade masa tortillas and a broad array of options. However, despite these strengths, I found these tacos to fall short of the top-tier offerings one might expect in a city like Los Angeles, especially considering the price.

My standout choice was the cochinita pibil, which is available in varying spice levels. I opted for the spiciest version, a daring blend of chili peppers including habanero, serrano, jalapeño, and even Thai chilies—a unique and fiery combination that truly tested my limits. I must admit, I FAFO, as I ended up removing some chilies to tame the heat, but I still enjoyed the challenge.

The cold brew horchata was a refreshing complement to the meal, offering a sweet respite from the spice. As for logistics, street parking is your best bet, with parallel spots typically available.

While Guisados is worth a visit for those in the area or seeking a spicy adventure, it’s important to note that Los Angeles boasts a wealth of superior taco spots that might deliver better value for the aficionado.

Had the Taco Sampler, and they were the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. My one regret is that I did not ask what each and every taco was. I just asked for the sampler and told them to give me what they thought was best. And boy did it deliver. Ten years of late night tacos and I finally found the best. The braised meats here cannot be beat. And dare I even say, the vegetarian options were incredible. Go and consider yourself lucky. Had the half Jamaica/half Lemonade too. A bit too sweet for me, but still very good.

Wow.

You'd never think tortillas are the key ingredient but they are the best here. It makes the difference. Ofc everything else is great. Can't go wrong. Recommend tamales, queso.

The food here was the best I’ve had in Los Angeles. I had 2 beef tacos and the ceviche tostada. The beef was perfect and the tortillas were literally made in front of us. The ceviche was the best I’ve ever had. The menu was excellent, and there seem to be options for everyone. My partner is a vegetarian and he was delighted with the amount of options. He had the veggie tacos (frijoles con queso) and he said they were really good and that the ingredients were very fresh and he thought the ingredients they used really came together well and the cheese was very rich and exactly what you’d want on your taco and that it felt authentic and elevated. He had the horchata and I had the melon agua fresca, both amazing. The price point was excellent and the restaurant itself is very cozy and welcoming.

I love coming on an off time for a good combination of tacos. Never disappoints and love that they are different than most regular tacos. Multiple locations but this is my favorite one 💛

after years of driving by and having it saved on my google maps list we finally decided to stop by and get some tacos. we came to eat here for a late breakfast / early lunch and wanted to try a few different types of tacos and luckily they had a lot to choose from. i went with chicken, steak and fish and the stand out to me was the fish! obviously, each one was delicious but that one was my favorite for the unique taste it had. i also really enjoyed the steak one taste and toppings as well. we were lucky to have visited while there weren't too many people and we could relax for a little in their outside patio seating area. i will also note that the tortillas were fresh, hand made and tasted so good too.

Can’t believe I waited so long to try these tacos. I would always drive by and wonder what all the hype was about with the long lines and now I see why.
