Dont buy here the chicken. The chicken you think you choose to buy are taken into inside separate room and they will handed over you the previously slaughtered chicken, no ways to know the one you chose would be the one you get. I will never buy again from this location. They are not honest people. They cheat you.

I used to live down the street and every time I would walk past my heart would sink. Cooped up in the tiniest cages, windows wide open during the middle of summer, cruel. One time I saw them unloading a truck and slamming the cages on top of each other, then I walked closer and saw that there is an entire back dark “storage area” to the store that has these animals stacked all the way to the ceiling. I never heard a chicken cry before until that moment. Literally crying... you could hear the stress and sadness in the voice.... sounds like a squeaker toy that brakes and starts deflating with a few last long slowing breaths. Hell. This place is hell.

A danger to all of Philly, this place is the perfect breeding ground for disease. And those poor animals. Chickens are crying, like another reviewer said. Don’t eat anything from here, SO GROSS.

The new owner is very rude and mean. Very poor customer service. He refuses to cut up the meet my way. His way or the highway. I have been a customer for a long time. The old owner was much more friendlier. I will not go back.

This place is so disgusting. For the decade I've lived in Philly it's been there, possibly longer, and nothing has changed. When I lived in South Philly I'd walk by nearly every day on my way to the bus. They keep live ducks, chicken and fowl inside in tiny cages and they always leave the door open. It smells like feces and urine 24/7, and they're always throwing buckets of filthy water onto the sidewalk.

This place is disgusting. I work across the street and it is so depressing to hear and smell the birds that are crammed into the small cages sitting in their own feces.

I love the idea of having to see what you’re killing before you eat it. Also it’s super fresh.
