Awesome people, awesome beer!

This is actually my first ever review of anything (I think)

Being a traveling driller across the US, I was thirsty when I got off in Altoona for a job the next day. I see “brewery,” and that’s all I need to see. I walk in to the co-owner and staff’s bewilderment, considering they aren’t open for business yet (they open sometime in October)

We get to talking and I end up ordering a growler for the road since a private party is coming in very soon. I try and pay for the beer using credit card/even venmoing since they don’t take cash and all I had was $4 on me, which they wouldn’t even take because they are such jolly folk. The party walks in as I’m trying to pay and I am very out of place, covered in mud, while they’re in collared shirts (and clean).

They blessed me with a free hazy IPA which I’m enjoying this very moment and it is delightful! I wish the best for this company when they open and I do hope I can come back one day, have a beer and pay for the one in my left hand, as well as the future. Best of luck with your brewery and business ventures in Altoona, I won’t forget the kindness y’all showed me and I will do my best to pass it forward.
