Attended a birthday party here in an event room. Staff were all friendly and even gave the kids a tour of the fire house and fire trucks. Everyone has a great time.

Just wanted to say Thank You to the first responders at the fire station. Not only did they take great care with my elderly mother in the past they even put air in my bicycle tire! Those are classic small town firefighters and paramedics that actually care about the residents of Hilliard!

My Wife and I are residents of South Carolina (born and raised in Ohio). During the first week of September we visited our daughter’s family near Hilliard, helping them pack and move. My blood pressure spiked during our visit and after a teleconference with my doctor in South Carolina, my medication was adjusted but I needed to continue to monitor my blood pressure. I stopped in to have it checked 4 times in 10 days without the need to make an appointment. Each time the firemen/emts treated me courteously and in a very professional manner. I thank them for their service. You residents of Hilliard/Norwich Twp.
are fortunate to be served by such dedicated and professional people!

My few experiences with our Fire Department have been positive. I've been on many tours with school field trips and they were kind, friendly and patient. My neighbor had some serious health issues prior to her passing. Each time the first responders came they treated her with dignity and respect despite some very serious mental health issues. my dealing with them have been unbelievable. We had to call 911 one night for my husband and they were wonderful. The other day I was out on a walk and needed rescue help and one of their cars were driving by and stopped to help and took me home. They are fantastic.

I called 911 in April this year after I broke my leg and my wrist. The squad members for this department responded to the call and were lazy, dishonest, and highly unprofessional. (1) Immediately when arriving on the scene, they suggested that I drive myself to the Hospital instead of them driving me. Not sure why when it would present a heavy liability to them. (2) They asked me what hospital I wanted to go to. I told them OSU. They told me that OSU had been hit pretty hard with COVID. What they didn’t know though, was that I work there as an inpatient orderly, and therefore could confirm that they were clearly lying. In fact, because of the new restrictions the hospital had recently placed, we hardly had any patients at all. So I still insistently told them OSU. (3) I also told them that OSU’s ER is the only one my insurance will cover. They didn’t hesitate to argue with me for a while. And tried to say it’s different if it’s an emergency. Well excuse me, but I have worked at OSU for 5 years and have been on their insurance ever since, so I know it pretty well. And they have 1 exception for emergency room coverage, but that is ONLY if the injury is life-threatening. (4) They didn’t even put a splint on EITHER limb to try to prevent further injury to them. (5) The machine they used to obtain my vitals didn’t get a blood pressure reading. So they had no baseline reading to report to the Emergency Room Staff. I think they probably just made one up. (6) They were pretty rough when they pulled me over to the Hospital bed. And my injuries, by the way, took 2 major surgeries to fix.

I left a detailed complaint on their website. And I concluded that I just wanted to make sure the squad members who responded to my call, were confronted. And that they learn that what they did was NOT ok. After I submitted it, the site said someone would get back to me within a week. I waited 2 weeks. No response. After 2 weeks, I escalated the complaint up to the Fire Chief, Jeff Warren. I have waited 1 week now, STILL NO RESPONSE. I guess this department just has super low standards.
