It hasn't snow that much in the past few days yet all state and us highways are trash today with countless large stretches of ice. I drove down from Wisconsin where they got much more snow and yet all of their roads were cleared and dry 24 hours later! I am frequently embarrassed to tell people that I live in this state!

My car had broke down on the side of the freeway. I was scared because of where I had to pull over on the shoulder. ODot pulled up in just a couple of minutes. Jeff, Truck #1303 was the employee who helped me. He was very kind & knowledgeable. I could tell he enjoys his job & helping others. It was actually a good experience braking down on the side of the road. I never thought I'd ever say that! Jeff even stayed with me until the tow truck arrived. I can't say THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!

Over the past few years, the amount of road work that has been done has been absurd. It’s everywhere across the greater Columbus area. I feel like there is a ton of improper management at the upper levels of this organization that has caused last-minute road work. It’s almost like they weeded, until they absolutely had to to fix our roads and decided to do it all at once. The amount of road slow downs, and road closures because of this is utterly ridiculous, and I seriously calling to question this organizations capabilities when it comes to with leadership

I'll try a different angle. The trash along the roads and freeways is out of control. I have a burning desire to get out of the car with a box of trash bags and start picking up the junk that accumulates. I cringe coming from the airport thinking that this is a lot of people's first impression of Columbus. I remember a time when you would see prisoners with deputies guarding them picking up the mess. I guess that would be politically incorrect now. Very sad !!

The roads are atrocious and they are atrocious BECAUSE of ODOT. I’ve seen perfectly good roads torn up for miles and left like that for years. If you would tear one road up at a time instead of tearing up every good road around Columbus we probably wouldn’t have as much traffic, accidents, or a gas taxes to pay for your poorly managed roadwork. Do one road at a time, FINISH IT IN A WEEK, not a month, not a year, not two years, finish that in a week or less like any developed country in the world would. So tired of my tax dollars going to unnecessary roadwork that is left there for years. Columbus should be absolutely ashamed of this PITIFUL public service. I’ve seen more efficiency and productivity in underdeveloped nations!

Quit putting your safety above the drivers of the road. Shutting lanes down /shutting roads down creates unsafe driving conditions as well. Just today 2 lanes of a 4 lane highway shut down all day so they could seal cracks in the road. Why? Go put your cones out a mile ahead of your job instead of shutting the entire highway down..

I live in central Ohio and have to travel many of the highways that ODOT is responsible for. In 42 years of living here, and 30 years of that being a motorist, I have NEVER seen the highways in WORSE shape and the traffic an absolute nightmare than they are right now. I agree with the other 1 star reviewer. "WOW" says it all. SMH. I drove from out of state through Cincinnati and back to Columbus this past weekend, and I will just say "INCREDIBLE" -- BAD!!!!
