People are friendly and helpful. I go every 4 months to purchase a bail of timothy hay for our 3 rabbits. The hay is put together in slabs so it makes it simple to grab and feed. Other bails we had to dig at to break apart.

I have Guinea pigs and this is the BEST place to get Timothy hay! I’ve tried so many different feeds stores in Tucson for Timothy hay, and it was always a hit or miss. Most of the time it was super dusty and low quality, it was frustrating and a waste of hay. But, here at Tanque verde…OMG!!! The Timothy hay is so good!!!! The best quality hay and Low (to no) dust. You’ll get a combination of 2nd/3rd cut in a bale with soft stems and some hard stems, including lots of flower heads. My Guinea pigs love it. I am happy to have finally found the right place to buy GOOD QUALITY and FRESH Timothy hay. Plus Dean is awesome! He is always so helpful and helps load the hay. His daughters who work inside the store are super friendly. This is a top quality and good customer service small family owned business I am happy to support. This is definitely the place for hay!

For a family run small feed store, who we have purchased from for 7 years, they never act like they recognize me or know me. It's just odd. I have asked to be called when something comes back into stock, they have never called. Another much larger feedstore in town has an entire staff who all recoginze me, some remember what I purchase, and treat me as if they value my business. Not so at Tanque Verde Feed. They act as if I am really putting them out of their way to wait on me. They typically have what I go there for and their prices are competitive. Hours are a little tough but if you know them, you can work with it. Sure wish I could find more to like about them.

This is absolutely the worst place for customer service! I have been going there for years and in the last year they have delivered hay, then went to not delivering hay, and now will not deliver because I’m not a “regular “ client. Because they stopped delivering I had to go elsewhere and when I went in today to get 30 bales delivered I couldn’t because I haven’t been a loyal customer! By the way….I found just as good hay at another feed store close by!!!!!

I've seen a lot of hay analysis results and feel the quality of hay at TV is worth paying a bit more. I've found their pricing on other products is fair (and better than the local average for some products).
