We visited Pettit Creek Farms this past fall with our entire family and some friends to pick out pumpkins for decoration on our front porch. While we were excited for the pumpkin picking experience, we were also intrigued by the unique assortment of animals at the farm. It was a fun surprise to see animals like a giraffe and a camel, and we were able to feed them, which was a memorable experience. However, we couldn't help but feel a bit confused as to why these exotic animals were there in the first place. It didn't seem like they truly belonged on a farm focused on pumpkins and fall activities.

Despite the puzzling presence of these animals, we really enjoyed the other fall-themed activities, especially the corn maze and hayride. They were both fun and gave us a real autumn vibe, which made the trip worthwhile. However, after reflecting on the exotic animals, we feel conflicted about supporting places that house such creatures in these types of settings. It's just not something we're comfortable with, and that will likely prevent us from returning in the future.

On the bright side, Pettit Creek Farms does have a fantastic selection of pumpkins, which is a big plus if you’re looking to decorate for the season. Overall, while the fall activities were fun, the farm's use of exotic animals left us with mixed feelings.

Such a fantastic place to see Christmas lights and see and do such fun things. They have camels, zebras, mini cows, goats, sheep, a flippin’ GIRAFFE! There are neat and warm fire pits stationed all around the grounds to warm up. There is a hay ride to see the beautiful well done lights. It’s clean, well kept and an overall great experience for the whole family. There’s a cash only snack booth with hot beverages and yummy fair food like snacks. Did someone say fried Oreos and funnel cake!? Yeah totally bring your family and support this family owned and operated place.

What an awesome experience! We were in for work and while out exploring, we stumbled across the Pettit Creek Farm. After driving in the staff were phenomenal and beyond friendly! Driving around and see the animals was an awe inspiring experience! They all look so healthy, pens are clean and the animals obviously well cared for. For being a farm, very little smell and they obviously take pride in their property! Would highly recommend taking family, friends, everyone!

Thank you guys!! Our little girl had such a wonderful birthday party.
Thank you Candace for letting us reschedule to a less rainy weekend.
It was still chilly out, but Todd made sure we were having fun anyways. Todd helped us get settled, showed us around, let us know where to send our party guests, introduced us to Doc, took the kiddos for pony rides, drove the tractor for our hay ride, showed the kids one of the new additions to the farm, and helped us stay on schedule. He truly made it a beautiful experience for us and our little girl! We absolutely cannot wait to come back and see the animals!! It felt like a full family day!

We just held our son's 6th birthday at Pettit Creek Farms. It was a great time! If your kiddo likes to run and play and be around animals, it's a great choice!

Candace was great in helping us work out all of the details and Todd was our host who made sure everything went to plan and the kids had a great time. Thank you for making this such an enjoyable experience!

We had a great time today at this cute farm. The staff was super nice and helpful. The animals were super docile and fun to play with. Today they had this cool deal that you could get for free all pumpkin you could carry without dropping, the kids in our group love the game and we got free pumpkins. We loved it. Thanks Brandy you were the coolest with our group

My daughters and I and some friends of theirs spent a few hours here recently. It wasn’t crowded when we went. And their various pumpkin displays are cute if you’re looking to take some photos. Lots of pretty flowers on the grounds and several activities from hayrides (included in general admission) to zip lines and camel rides (additional price). All-in-all, a nice way to spend a few hours on a fall day without having to drive 60-90 minutes to some of the more well-known pumpkin patches from where we are. The corn maze is included as well, but it’s not much of a maze. If that’s your thing, you’ll be disappointed, but if you just want some nice pics and a few enjoyable hours wandering around, plus see some camels and zebras, I think you’ll enjoy it.

I was really excited to take my son this weekend for Christmas time since we went last year for fall and enjoyed it; however, I was really disappointed this trip. The Christmas lights were pretty and he loved the animals, but he was super upset with his interaction with Santa. I don’t think his visit even lasted 60 seconds because Santa didn’t let him finish saying the first thing he hoped for and just said “how about I just bring you lots of toys,” passed him a peppermint and sent him on his way. My little boy was sad and confused and said he wasn’t sure Santa would bring him what he hoped for this Christmas since he didn’t really get to tell him. For the time spent in the drive out there and the money paid to get in, my son should never be left feeling like Santa didn’t care about him or like there wasn’t any Christmas magic that a child should be able to feel during an experience like that. We definitely won’t be back.
