We love the Old Road Farm! It’s my happy place in Pittsburgh. Karis and her family are so knowledgeable and eager to share their love for the animals and nature! The kids say: β€œHere- hold a kitten!” Or β€œlet me hand you a lamb!”

And the food is off the charts! Their eggs look entirely different than what I buy at stores. The yolks are so orange and big!

And the veal- never had better! And I would never eat veal in the past because of how the animals were treated. Not on the Old Road Farm! It’s guilt-free eating!

Our Airbnb stay at The Old Road Farm was above and beyond expectations. Karis was the most attentive and thoughtful host. Upon arrival, she helped with my bags and made me feel right at home on her family owned farm. My friend arrived the next morning, and we had the best time thanks to our host. The amenities were much more than what was listed on Airbnb. They have a camping stove, plates, cups, silverware, pans, kettle, coffee, tea, olive oil, and even some spices provided! They even left us some farm fresh eggs and kept us well stocked with their spring water! They've really thought of everything here with all the little touches that go a long way. We enjoyed touring the farm, watching the milking process, and being able to pet the animals. The view was incredible, and the stars at night were breathtaking! We loved sitting around the firepit under the night's sky, and we were well stocked with firewood from the neighbor boys (be sure to bring cash!). Thank you so much for the hospitality and love shown. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful first-generation regenerative farm. Great family - fabulous organic eggs, chicken, turkey, and pork, and 100% grass-fed beef and lamb. I have tried it all and Old Road Farm is now the only place I shop for meat and eggs. Farm visits with grandkids are a bonus! Thank you, Tressel Family! Louise Moyer, Washington, PA

I travel miles out of my way to get eggs and meat from here. They are nothing short of AMAZING!!
I wouldn't have believed that their farming practices would make so much difference in the taste of the food, but it does.
The eggs have a much richer flavor and a creamier texture than standard store-bought eggs. I can even see and taste the difference in baked goods.
I've had various beef, pork, chicken, and even duck from this place, and it has all been worth the higher price than the grocery store meats. We had a turkey from here last Thanksgiving and it was the moistest and most flavorful of any I've ever had.
I'm sure all of their food is healthier for me and my family as well, but I'm in it for the flavor!!

Love this place!!! Replaced the grocery store for all of our eggs, meat and poultry needs. Made their Beef Brisket for the first time last night and it was fantastic! Ground meat / chicken / roasts / ham / the list goes on, is so much better than what comes from the store. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for more fresh and healthy options for themselves and their families. Go support a great local family who is passionate about what they do!
