This is such a win-win choice for your local community. Support a small business that also brings in product from other local small businesses and farms! That's how we support the honest, heartfelt economy!
Dave's produce is fresh, in season, delicious AND Dave is super knowledgable about all of the products he carries. (Lots of locally made homeopathic remedies for your health ailments too!) I Highly recommend it!

Dave’s Backyard Farms is our favorite store in the Philly area!! We are regular weekly customers, because the quality of products are second to none!! From selecting wild boar to make fajitas; to enjoying local strawberries with organic honey vanilla ice cream… every week is a new culinary adventure for our family!! We highly recommend bypassing the chain grocery and shopping local at Dave’s. We feel so lucky to have discovered this gem.

Dave is friendly and very knowledgeable about the food he carries, and its local sources. He manages to squeeze an impressive variety of meat, seafood, dairy, produce and dry goods into his cozy shop. He carries excellent prepared foods and fresh breads, and his organic pastured eggs are substantially cheaper than the ones I’ve seen at larger grocery chains.

I’ve been meaning to visit since enjoying their newsletters during the pandemic. I finally got around to going last week and stocked up. I was excited to see Weckerly’s ice cream, which our whole family loved. The hummus and egg salad were other favorites. And our new rescue dog is loving the salmon dog treats. Can’t wait to go back soon! The owner was very kind and welcoming and parking was easy on the side of the building.

Absolutely , highly recommend this tiny store that has great raw milk and most tasty bread I ate since my move to USA.
When I was a little girl, every day my grandma picked me from the day care and I had my glass of fresh milk with fresh bread at her place, while waiting for my parents to puck me up.
Today I had that glass of milk with fresh backed bread and it felt like I am 5 years old again!!!

Dave’s Backyard Farms is totally the best place to shop for farm to table food and we absolutely love it! Everything is SO fresh, delicious, and healthy. Every week he sends out an email highlighting the special products coming to the market along with his regular list of items. Most times he will include a personalized story from his own experience in farming and agriculture. The store has a homey atmosphere and he treats all of his customers like family. He is very helpful and knowledgeable and will be glad to talk with you or answer any questions you may have.

Amazing food. Bread, granola, cheese, meat, ice cream, flowers, and so much more. The fruits and vegetables are glorious. I like supporting local farmers and I’m grateful that Dave does all the legwork and runs such a delightful store.
