I just enjoyed the most fantastic mead. A berry blend aged in an oak whiskey barrel. It was a delicious medley of fruit dominated by the blackberry with undertones of raspberry. The distinct flavor of the barrel lingers on the tongue in a most pleasant way.

Make sure to check out their place @ 731 E Andy Devine Ave! It's a cool little spot with great meads and an awesome vibe. Each mead was better than the last.

I brought my wife here for her birthday. Neither of us have ever done a wine tasting type thing before, so it was a good experience.
The owners and their family were kind enough to give us an appointment that was convenient for my wife and me.
We both enjoyed tasting the selections. We both particularly enjoyed the "them apples" apple cider mead and the "basic bee" pumpkin spice latte, as well as the "Lewis's kokua tropical blend."
We bought a bottle each of the them apples and the tropical blend.
We had a good time talking with the owner about his process and picking his brain. He's very honest about his own finished products and the process he goes through to get to the finished product.
It was a very good experience.
We will be back.

We had the opportunity to visit recently with a rare Saturday off. They were hosting an awesome event with a variety of food and craft vendors. All of whom were very nice to talk too. We headed in to have a line up of tasters of some very well produced Meads. Had a glass of wine as well, and of course ended up taking some bottles home. The staff was great and knowledgeable, happy to share information on the Meads, the process and the facility. Bonus was there being an opportunity to smash some grapes, if ya wanted to do so. Look forward to heading back and supporting this small business.

The mead they offer is great, many awesome flavors, and they are always looking for new flavors to add. The owners are great people and are always putting on events and supporting other local, small businesses. Highly recommend Hive Five Meadery!

What a great way to spend the afternoon. We took a little drive out to the country to visit. Their staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Their meads are so interesting and delicious ... and apparently always changing. It was hard to decide which flavors to bring home this time (tropical and sour) ...... we'll defintely be making more trips out to the winery! So lucky to have such a unique business in Kingman!
