This was my first time at the Farmer in the Dell. I have several friends who said they love this place. I was impressed. This is not a typical sandwich place like Subway or other franchise sub shop. Their menu is very elegant and very specialized. It was honestly a little fancy for my tastes. It was highend food but their prices were great. I would have expected to pay more having seen the menu details in their food. All the food looked fresh and well prepared. I scanned what everyone else was eating. They also had fresh lemonade which was a nice treat.

This was my first visit, and I was very pleased. I did not love my harvest bowl (just wished it was a little more flavorful), but the breakfast sandwiches and pastries were amazing! This is a very cute spot to grab takeout or just enjoy a cafe setting.

The person at the front counter was extremely friendly, personable. She was welcoming and very attentive to what I wanted to eat. The food was more of a mixed bag, though I only had baked goods. I had a "Lemon Coffee Roll" that while looked delicious, was flat, dry and somewhat lacking in flavor. Honestly it was slightly dissapointing. I also sampled the lemon loaf which was much more satisfying in texture, although it could've used some more lemon flavor. The coffee was hot, light and not burnt - perfectly enjoyable as it were. Maybe I caught them on an "off" day or didn't get the right items, but I expected a little better. None the less, they had a good selection and as I said - the service, was very friendly! I would likely give them one more try.

The Vietnamese rolls were delicious and the peanut sauce was some of the best I’ve had! I also tried a few bites of different pastries (I love to sample).

I tried the apricot almond cinnamon roll, the raspberry coconut pastry bites and the sugar cookies.

Everything I tried was fabulous, AND they have Harney and Sons Tea (excellent choice, and my favorite next to The Republic of Tea), so I had an almond milk Turmeric Ginger Latte, which hit the spot as well!

You can taste that all ingredients are real, and the food is a decent price in spite which is good because I will definitely be back.

An excellent spot for lunch dining in or takeout, very well run establishment. I always pick up the Chicken Bahn Mi sandwich to bring to my mother and have lunch with her. Delicious, delicate bread is soft with a nice crunch but not too big or hard. Everything is so fresh and delicious and the service is always fast and phenomenal!

It was ok. Like I ordered egg and cheese on a biscuit and they gave me some bacon, and overall it was pretty plain and a lil soggy, a bit insipid too because the biscuit was quite plain. My dining companion strongly enjoyed her ham and cheese sandwich. I sampled it myself and I agree it was good, loved the baguette, would omit the mustard. My other dining companion stated her salad was “really good.” My lemonade was refreshing. I give my own meal like a 3, but overall good. Also the service was just impeccable.

Their matcha is great and the egg and veggie sandwich on a biscuit is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever

I have tried several of the salads here with chicken added and the salads have been consistently great! My all time favorite salad is th Asian Crunch salad with chicken added.
We brought a take out meal to friends, and ordered the family meal for 4 of beef brisket, risotto with asparagus, shallots, thyme, arugula and Grana Padano cheese.
The beef brisket, we were told, is one of their most popular dishes, and now we know why.
The beef brisket was slow cooked and came with pan gravy and horseradish cream sauce along with mashed potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts.
The beef brisket was cooked perfectly and the horseradish garnish gave it an excellent kick of flavor.
The risotto was very tasty and since the portions are generous, we were able to get a couple meals our of this.
I recently tried their mac and heese, and ordered one for my husband and another for me, and this was outstanding.
This led to me calling the owner to order the Mac and Cheese as an additional side dish for a holiday party with 70 attendees, that was served with steak and tips, marinated chicken dish, and a chopped salad.
Everyone at our party absolutely loved the Mac and cheese.
I have tried their homeade bread with the various meals, and ordered the chicken for four with risotto and beef brisket for a friend as she came home from the hospital after surgery, and her entire family loved the meal!
We have even taken the pizzas as take out and these were wonderful too!
Thank you again to the staff for wonderful meals!
This is our all time favorite local place!
