I live in Kaufman between the Emory and Athens locations and have used both many times. Emory is convenient because of the Saturday sale. I would try and be there as early as possible because it is a big sell and if you get there after 9am there is going to be a line. Don’t stress it will move fast and if possible try and get in the inside lane. Had my check mailed to me and I received it by Wednesday of the next week. Highly recommend.

Some can only tell you of a time. Most never thought or imagined a time safe enough. I mean where you can sleep with your windows open. That's if the open air of the nights breeze moves you! Edit: Catwalk is closed. No way to see stock appropriately anymore. You can spend hours waiting for what you are looking for and be disappointed. Unfortunate situation.

One of the best auctions in Texas. They do a good job keeping the animals moving and they are easy to see prior to purchase

I would not bring my sheep here again. The bidding started out way too low . Whoever got my lambs got way too good of a deal. It costs more to feed them . I am very disappointed. I was told on the phone that they were pretty fair , and even that others were brought in from other auctions and sold there for a bigger profit. I will be sure to let my livestock friends not to use your sale barn, it’s not worth the gas, and time that it took me to get there.

Process of unloading cattle was great. The folks there helped and are knowledgeable more than willing to help. All with smiling faces. The sale was ahead of schedule. Food in the kitchen is great!
